Prior to fi rst use
ATTENTION!
❐ Keep children and pets away from the packaging. Danger of suffocation exists!
❐ Burn hazard! The device is very hot when in use and afterwards! When setting up the
device, make sure you choose an area with adequate space on all sides and above it (at
least 10 cm on the sides and 30 cm above) in order to prevent the accumulation of heat.
1. Unpack the device and make sure that the scope of delivery is complete (see chapters
“Device overview” and “List of accessories”) and check for any damages from transport.
Should you identify any transport damage, do not use the device(!); instead please promptly
consult the customer service.
2. There may be some production residue stuck to the device. To avoid health risks, clean
the container and the frying basket thoroughly before fi rst use (see chapter “Cleaning”).
3. Place the device on a dry, heat-resistant and even surface at a suffi cient distance to fl am-
mable objects. Please ensure that the device is not accessible to children.
4. Insert the mains plug in a properly installed 220 – 240 V socket with earthing contacts.
Use
ATTENTION!
❐ Only use the device if it has been properly and correctly assembled to guarantee proper
functioning of the device.
❐ Check the device, cable, and mains plug for damages each time before using the device. Do
not use the device if it exhibits visible damages!
❐ Only connect the device to a properly installed socket with protective earth contacts. The
socket must also be easily accessible after the device has been connected. The mains volt-
age must correspond to the technical data of the device.
❐ Always turn the device off and pull the mains plug out of the socket before you
insert / remove the plastic viewing window or before you insert the container in the base
or accessories in the device.
❐ Make sure the room is adequate ventilated when the device is in use.
❐ Never leave the device unattended when operating in order to prevent damage to proper-
ty, the device itself and injury to persons, e.g. caused by fi re.
❐ Only use fats and oils, which are suitable for high temperatures, that is, for deep frying.
Do not use cold-pressed oils or butter. Observe the manufacturer’s instructions on the
packaging.
❐ Risk of injury! Hot air is emitted from the vents on the lid. Be careful when using the
control panel or when you open the lid. Keep your head and hands out of the danger zone
when you open the lid.
❐ Always use kitchen gloves when inserting the frying basket in the container or remove it
to prevent burns.
