during the baking process. If the green power LED illuminates, this indicates that the
device is reheating to maintain a constant temperature.
7. After approx. 5–6 minutes open the device to check whether the waffl es have already
been baked to perfection or whether they need to be baked longer.
8. When the waffl es are done, use wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to remove them to
prevent damage to the coating.
9. If you do not plan to bake any other waffl es, pull the mains plug out of the socket and
let the device cool off completely before you remove and clean the plates and store
them together with the device.
Flat grill plates
These plates can be used to prepare pancakes, eggs, bacon and sausages, etc.
1. Insert the fl at grill plates as shown in the ‘Inserting and exchanging plates’ chapter.
2. The appliance must be connected only to properly installed mains sockets. The red
control light illuminates as soon as the appliance is connected to a mains socket.
3. The appliance now needs to pre-heat. Keep the appliance closed while it is heating
up. The appliance takes around 3–5 minutes to pre-heat, and is ready when the
green control light illuminates.
4. When the green power LED illuminates and the pre-heating process has ended,
release the latch and open the device.
5. Now place the food you want to cook on the bottom grill plate. You can prepare food
either with the grill open, or closed. Use only wooden or plastic kitchen utensils to
remove your food to avoid damaging the coating.
6. When closing the grill, ensure that the locking catch clicks fully into place. When
grilling, the green control light may switch off and on. If the green light comes on, it
means that the appliance is re-heating in order to maintain a constant temperature.
7. Please note that cooking times need to be extended if grilling with the appliance
open.
8. If you do not want to make any more dishes, remove the plug from the socket and
leave the appliance to cool down completely before removing the plates, cleaning
them and storing them with the appliance.
Omelette plates
Inserting these plates allows you to make delicious omelettes.
1. Insert the omelette plates as shown in the ‘Inserting and exchanging plates’ chapter.
2. The appliance must be connected only to properly installed mains sockets. The red
control light illuminates as soon as the appliance is connected to a mains socket.
3. The appliance now needs to pre-heat. Keep the appliance closed while it is heating
up. The appliance takes around 3–5 minutes to pre-heat, and is ready when the
green control light illuminates.
4. When the green power LED illuminates and the pre-heating process has ended,
release the latch and open the device.
5. Now pour your egg mixture onto the bottom omelette plate and close the appliance.
Make sure that you do not overfi ll overfi ll the omelette plate to prevent leakage.
