Analog audio setup

Here you can set the format in which the DVD sound should be played back.

STEREO = analog stereo signal

RIGHT / LEFT = Dolby Pro Logic stereo signal (2 channel sound)

SURROUND = Virtual surround sound

If STEREO has been switched on, “STR“ will appear, for RIGHT / LEFT, “LTRT“ will appear, and for

SURROUND, “VSR“.

Equalizer

Through this function you can adjust the tone color of the output sound according to your own

preferences. Through the EQ type, you can select the preset sound settings. The menu item bass

increase just allows you to increase the bass frequencies. With super bass, you have an additional option

of increasing the bass output. The setting treble increase also allows you to increase the treble levels

correspondingly.

3D Processing

Through this function you can adjust the sound effects of the output sound according to your own

preferences. The echo mode setting enables you to select one of the preset reverberating effects.

HDCD

The HDCD function enables you to carry out certain settings if you are using such a data carrier.

Because of the low market distribution of this type of data carrier, this function is turned off by default.

Color settings

This function enables you to adjust the color settings of the DVD playback according to your preferences

(possible levels are listed in brackets)

Sharpness

This serves to set the sharpness of the image (high / medium / low).

Brightness

This serves to set the brightness of the image (- 20 to + 20).

Contrast

This serves to set the contrast of the image (- 16 to + 16).

While adjusting the brightness or contrast, press right key to enter into the setup file; then, use up/down

keys to set up and left key to return back to the setup manual.

GAMMA

This serves to set the gradation. The gradation is the exponent between the displayed brightness and the

image or pixel values (high / medium / low /none).

Hue

This serves to set the hue (- 9 to + 9).

Saturation

This serves to set the color saturation (- 9 to + 9).

Luma Delay

This serves to set the luminance delay. A change in this setting is only required if the color and

brightness aren’t coextensive (“0 T” and “1 T”).

User can perform “0T” or “1T” setup according to varied TV brightness and color.

In normal situation it should select “1T” for DVD format and “0T” for other formats.
