Loudspeaker equipment
Dolby Sourround, ProLogic, Dolby Digital
For the reproduction in Dolby Surround Prologic/Dolby Digital sound, five
loudspeakers are required: left/right front loudspeakers, centre loudspeaker,
surround loudspeakers (supplied), and one subwoofer (for Dolby Digital).
If you wish to get the optimum sound impression with Dolby Surround ProLogic,
you must connect two external front loudspeakers. In this case, the built-in loud-
speakers operate as centre loudspeakers.
Note:
Slide the »EXT INT« switch to the »EXT« position.
Dolby 3 Stereo
For Dolby 3 Stereo sound, no surround loudspeakers are required. If you wish
to get the optimum sound impression with Dolby 3 Stereo, you must connect two
external front loudspeakers. In this case, the built-in loudspeakers operate as
centre loudspeakers.

Slide the »EXT INT« switch to the »EXT« position.
Pseudo Surround
This Dolby mode is used for mono broadcasts, for example. For the Pseudo
Surround sound mode, the surround loudspeakers must be connected.
