You may store the five strongest stations (programmes) in each
range automatically on the station buttons »1«, »2«, »3«, »4«, and
»5«. Therefore, a total number of 20 memory positions is available
for the U I-III and AM ranges.
1 Press the »U III« (FM) or »RADIO« (AM) button to select the
desired range.
2 Press the »AS« button until the signal sounds.
– Indication in the display: » AS« and, e.g. »88 90« (scrolling),
then a programme name with the number of the memory
position.
– You will hear the programme with the best reception quality.
Setting RDS programmes and stations using
the automatic search function
1 Press »U III« to select the desired FM memory level (I-III).
2 Press the »<« or »>« button until the signal sounds.
– Indication in the display: briefly, e.g. »FM 92 70«, then the
name of the next available station.
Note:
If the traffic announcement standby (TP) is activated during the
search function, the radio searches only for traffic programme
stations.
The radio switches to the maximum search sensitivity if »DX«
appears in the display. This occurs automatically after the first
scan of the entire frequency range.
Switching the DX function manually on and off
1 To switch on press the »DX« button until the signal sounds.
– Indication in the display: »DX« .
2 To switch off press the »DX« button until the signal sounds.
– Indication in the display: »DX« goes out.
