Radiotext
Some RDS stations provide ”radio text” as additional information. Radiotext
appears as ticker text in the display. As the station transmits this information
character by character, it may take some time before the text is received in full.
1 Call up the radiotext by pressing »
TEXT
« on the remote control.
– The information appears after a short time.
2 For a fast run-through of the radiotext, press and hold down »
TEXT
«.
Note:
If the reception is poor there may be gaps in the radiotext message.
If the station does not currently provide radiotext, »NO TEXT« appears in the
display.
3 Press »
TEXT
« to leave the radiotext level.
Station types (PTY)
1 To call up the current programme type, press »PTY« on the remote control.
– Display: the current programme type, e.g. »NEWS«, and »PTY«.
– If no station type code is transmitted, »NO PTY« appears in the display.
2 Press »PTY« repeatedly on the remote control to select another programme
type.
3 Start the PTY search by pressing »TUNING UP/DOWN« on the HiFi.
– Display: »FM«, the frequency in rapid run-through, and »PTY« flashes.
4 To interrupt the search, briefly press »TUNING UP/DOWN« on the HiFi.
