Setting the TV norm
This setting is not required when using the HDMI signals (»HDMI
OUT
« socket on the DVD player).
When connecting via the »
AV OUT« socket, the colour standard
must be adapted to the television – depending on the format of
your television. The HDMI signal must be switched off (see »Video
settings«, »HDMI output« menu).
Select »NTSC« for televisions with the NTSC system, or »PAL« for
those with the PAL system.
Use the »PAL 60« setting, if your television is not equipped for the
NTSC norm but you would still like to play a DVD with NTSC norm.

Selecting the TV format for your television
This setting depends on your television.
If you have a television with a 4:3 format, select the »4:3« setting.
If you have a television with a 16:9 format, select the »16:9« set-
ting.
