Automatic settings
Note:
To cancel the automatic settings, press the »MEM« key.
1 After you have connected your Sonoclock to the mains, the following
message appears in the display »SEARCHING FM PLEASE WAIT«.
– Your device automatically searches the frequency band for stations.
– The radio stations are saved automatically.
– If RDS information is transmitted by the respective station, then the
device saves the station name.
– After the automatic setting, a message appears in the display and the
symbol »
ȄȄ
« flashes. In the process, the radio programme is muted.
2 The device searches for an RDS station which sends the RDS time sig-
nal. Once it has found one, the current time is set. This process may last
a few minutes.

3 Switch on the device with »ON/OFF«.
Manual settings
If your device was not able to carry out automatic station and time setting,
due to inadequate reception conditions, for example, you can enter the
radio stations and the time manually.
Setting radio stations
There are 10 channel positions available for radio stations.
1 Switch on the device with »ON/OFF«.
2 Begin station search by pressing and holding down »+«or»–«
(TUNING).
– The search stops as soon as a radio station with a sufficiently strong
signal is found.
– You can also set the frequency step-by-step (50 kHz) by briefly pres-
sing »+«or»–« (TUNING).
– If RDS information is transmitted by the station currently set,
»
f« appears in the display and after a short time the station
name appears in place of the frequency.
3 Save radio station by pressing »MEM« (»MEMORY« flashes in the dis-
play ), select the desired channel position within 8 seconds with
»1 ... 10« and confirm with »MEM«.
– Press »1 ... 10 « once for channel positions 1 ... 5, and twice for
channel positions 6 ... 10.
– Display: the frequency and the selected channel position. For RDS sta-
tions, the station name appears shortly thereafter. The »MEMORY«
indicator disappears.
