• Use only original spare parts for the maintenance.

• Repairs may be only carried out by a professional

electrician.

• Before putting the machine into operation and

after impact of any kind, check it for sign of wear

or damage and arrange repairs if necessary.

• Never use spare parts and accessories, which are

not specified or recommended by the

manufacturer.

• Use the machine only under daylight or with

sufficient artificial lighting.

• Make sure that no other objects may cause any

short-circuit on the contacts of the product.

• This product is not a toy for children! Children can

not estimate risks caused by this product. Never let

children use this product.

• People, who are not capable to use the product

due to their physical, sensory or mental ability

or their inexperience or lack of knowledge may

not use this product.

• If the product has any obvious damages, then it

may not be put into operation.

• Severe dangers may arise through improper

repairs.

• The same requirements also apply to the spart

parts.

Güde GmbH & Co. KG will assume no liability for

damages due to the following root causes:

• Damages on the product through mechanical

impacts and excess voltages.

• Changes on the product.

• Use for purposes other than those described

in the manual.

• Pay close attention to all safety instructions in

order to avoid injuries and damages.

Important product-specific safety instructions

•

Never press the forward gear and the

backward gear at the same time. The product can

be severely damaged if doing so!!!

The oil level must be checked before you

put the product into operation each time.

Replenish oil if necessary (Motor oil 500ml

SAE30)

•

Never work on excessively steep hillsides

(max. 30°)

•

On slopes, always work in cross direction

and never in upward or downward direction. Be

very careful while changing direction.

• Pay attention to the ambient conditions, under

which you are working.

• Toxic waste gases will be generated through the motor,

as soon as the motor starts running. These gases can

be odorless and invisible. Therefore, never work with

the product in closed or badly aired rooms. Arrange for

sufficient lighting during your operation. For wet, snowy,

icy conditions, on slopes and uneven site, arrange for a

safe stand stability.

• Do not let any unauthorized people operate the

machine. Visitors and bystanders, especially children

as well as ill and weak people, should be kept away

from the work area. It should be avoided that other

people get in touch with the tools.

• Arrange for the safe-keeping of the tools. Tools,

which are not used, must be kept at a dry place, which

should be as safe as possible or is locked in an

inaccessible manner.

• Use the right tool for each activity. For example, do

not use any small tools or accessories for activities,

which must be performed with heavy tool actually. Use

tools only for the purposes, for which they are designed.

• Wear properly. The clothes must be appropriate and

may not bother you during work.

• Use personal protective equipments. Wear safety

shoes with steel toe caps/steel soles and non-slip soles.

• Wear a pair of safety glasses to protect against hurled

objects.

• Use hearing protection. Use personal noise protection

such as ear plugs.

• Wear solid gloves – gloves made of chrome leather

can provide a good protection.

• Transport. Always transport the sickle-bar mower with

wheels in transport position. While setting the machine

down, make sure that nobody will be endangered.

Protect the product against overturning, damages and

leakage of fuel.

• Remove plug key and ignition key, before the

machine is swichted on.

• Remain always alert. Pay attention to what you are

doing and use common sense. Do not use any motor

tools, if you are tired. It is forbidden to work with the

machine under the influence of alcohol, drugs or

medicaments, which may jeopardize the reaction.

• Filling von fuel. The motor must be always shut down

before filling, so that pending over-pressure can be

released slowly and no fuel will spurt out. Through

operation with the machine, high temperature will arise

on the enclosure. Therefore, let the machine cool down

before filling. Otherwise, the fuel may be ignited and

lead to severe burns. During the filling, make sure not to

fill too much fuel. If any fuel leaks, it should be removed

immediately and the product be cleaned. After the filling,

y attention to the proper fit of the locking screw joint

in order to avoid the loosening caused by the arising

vibration during the operation.

• Pay attention to damaged parts. Check the tool,

before you use it. Are there any damaged part? Ask

yourself in case of slight damages seriously whether the

tool can work in an intact and safe manner nevertheless.

Pay attention to the correct alignment and setting of

moving parts. Engage the parts in a proper manner?

Are there any parts damaged? Is everything installed

properly? Are all other pre-conditions for the intact

function fulfilled? Unless otherwise specified in the

operating manual, damaged protective equipments and

etc. must be repaired or replaced properly by

authorized staff. Defect switches must be replaced by

an authorized staff. If repairs are required, please

contact your local service center.
