A game for learning capital and small alphabet letter
for 2 to 6 children ages 4 to 7.

Today the ABC fairy has invited her letter friends to a party.
Everyone is dancing wildly and several letter pairs have already lost sight of
each other. Do you know which capital and small letters belong together?
With a bit of luck and a good memory you can fi nd the matching pairs. Once in a while the
ABC fairy fl ies over and helps you. The aim of the game is to memorize the matching letters and
collect the most letter pairs.

52 letter cards (= 26 letter pairs from A/a to Z/z), 4 ABC fairy cards, 5 clover leaves, 1 marker,
1 cloth, 1 set of game instructions
Before playing for the first time:
Learn the letters
Place all the letter cards face up on the middle of the table and take a good look at them. A
letter and a picture beginning with this letter is visible on each card. Each picture comes in twos:
a big one and a small one. The corresponding capital letter is next to the big picture and the
corresponding small letter is next to the small one. If you lay both pictures next to each other,
you can see which capital and small letters belong together and what they look like.
Note: At the end of the instructions you will fi nd a list of all the letters and the corresponding
words in German and English. They were especially chosen to enable you to play the
game in both languages.
Preparation
Mix all the letter cards and ABC fairy cards face down and spread them out on the middle of
the table. You can lay down the cards in a random order or in a pattern. Have the clover leaves
ready in a separate stack.
