How to Play
Play in a clockwise direction. The child with the longest fi rst name begins and turns over
two cards.
What can you see on the two cards?
• Two identical letters (1 x capital and 1 x small)
Great! You may take both cards and trace the letters on them with the marker.
Then it's your turn again to turn the cards over.
Attention: If clover leaves are depicted on the cards of a letter pair,
you will additionally receive a wooden clover leaf from the stack!
• Two different letters
Too bad, turn the cards face down after everyone else has seen them.
• The ABC fairy
Your turn is over when you turn over an ABC fairy. (If you turn over the ABC fairy
as a second card, turn the letter card over again after everyone else has also seen it.)
You may take the ABC fairy card and place it face up in front of you.
Important ABC fairy rule:
If you receive an ABC fairy, you may use it in one of your next turns to turn a third card over.
So you have an additional try to fi nd a pair. Then the ABC fairy is taken out of the game. You
may use only one ABC fairy per turn even if you have several of them.
Now it is the next child's turn.
End of the Game
The game is over when all the cards have been turned
over. Unused ABC fairy cards are taken out of the
game. Now each child stacks up his collected pairs
and clover leaves. The child with the highest tower
wins; in case of a tie there are several winners. After
the game you can wipe all the cards clean with a
cloth and play again right away.
Tip:
You will fi nd it easier if you trace the letters with
your fi nger fi rst and then with the marker.
