Variations
•The game becomes easier if the letters are not covered by the lid of
the box at the beginning. Each player can choose any letter and stamp
it.
The game gets more demanding with the following additional rules:
•A started word can be continued by not only stamping a letter at the
end but also at the beginning of the row of letters.
Example:
There have been stamped the letters “AR” on the sheet.
It’s the turn of Tim who takes the C. He could stamp the letter at
the end (ARC) and say “arch”. But he stamps it at the beginning
and says: “CAR”. The word is complete and Tim gets a card as a
reward.
• It is also allowed to continue a word vertically as if in a crossword.
Hint: Center the fist stamped letter on the sheet so that you have
enough space to continue it upwards, downwards, to the right to the
left.
Example:
The following words have been started on the sheet:
S
HOS
OH
A
It’s the turn of Jana who chooses the T. She could stamp now
the word SHOT or the word HOST and get a card as a reward.
