• Before leaving the driver’s seat, ap-

ply the parking brake.

• The machine is only suitable for de-

ployment on level surfaces with a

maximum slope of 12% (Total weight

for tractor/trailer combination).

1.4 Maintenance information

• Operating personnel must complete

the necessary daily and weekly

maintenance work. All other mainte-

nance work must be completed at

your nearest Hako service center.

• The maintenance work and mainte-

nance intervals prescribed in the op-

erating manual must be adhered to.

• Before cleaning and maintenance

work, switch the engine off and allow

to cool down. Danger of burns from

hot surfaces. The parking brake is to

be applied, the ignition key is to be

removed and the vehicle is to be se-

cured against accidental starting up

and unintended movement.

• Suitable tools must be used for

cleaning and maintenance work.

• As required by the accident preven-

tion rules, the vehicle has to be in-

spected by a recognized technical

expert at reasonable intervals (we

recommend at least annually), and

also following any modification or re-

pair, in order to check that it is oper-

ationally safe.

• Replacement parts have to comply

with the minimum technical require-

ments stipulated by the manufactur-

er. This is ensured by the use of

original spare parts.

• During maintenance work when the

dirt hopper is raised, the safety sup-

port has to be moved to the upper

position and inserted.

• Prior to cleaning or servicing the ma-

chine or replacing parts, the equip-

ment has to be switched off.

• Do not use a steam cleaner or high

pressure washer. Do not direct the

water jet directly against electrical or

electronic components.

• For maintenance work, access can

be gained via the doors in the side

cover panel.

• If the Hako-Citymaster 1250 is

jacked up with a jack, an additional

secure support is required.

• Nobody may be on the Hako-City-

master 1250 when it is jacked up or

raised.

• Do not remove or replace tires or re-

pair while still mounted on the rim.

Always go to a proper workshop for

work on tires and rims because they

have specially trained personnel and

special safety tools.

• Do not carry out any welding, drilling,

sawing or grinding work on frame

parts. Damaged parts may only be

replaced by specialist workshops ap-

proved by Hako.

• Only use original fuses. Using fuses

with a too high rating could damage

the electrical installation and lead to

fires.

• Regularly subject the brake system

to a thorough inspection. Adjust-

ments and repairs to the brake sys-

tem may only be completed by

specialist workshops approved by

Hako or by recognized brake service

workshops.

• Before repairs to the hydraulic sys-

tem lower any attachments and de-

pressurize the hydraulic system.

• Regularly subject the hydraulic sys-

tem to a thorough inspection! Adjust-

ment and repair work on the

hydraulic system may only be per-

formed in specialist Hako work-
