INTRODUCTION
SELECT THE DISC TYPE
This recorder can record on both DVD+R and DVD+RW type of disc. When you want to record
repeatedly on the same disc, select DVD+RW type. The disc can be re-recorded for more than
1000 times. When you want to save recordings without any alteration, a non-rewritable
DVD+R can be your choice.
DIGITAL RECORDING
Video is recorded in a DVD+R/+RW disc in digital way. When you use Timer to record a pro-
gram, you will find familiar, convenient feature as found on the conventional VCRs.
You can also record the contents of connected AV equipment such as digital video camera.
PLAY THE RECORDINGS
You can select the title you want to play from a display from a disc menu, and immediately
start playback. To access recorded contents on a disc are much simpler and faster than
conventional VHS tape.
What are titles and chapters? DVD contents consist of sections, called titles, and smaller
sub-sections called chapters. On this recorder, a title is created between the points where you
start and stop a recording. Chapters are created automatically at 5 mins intervals, or can be
created manually.
EDIT AND SHARE YOUR OWN RECORDINGS
To edit a conventional tape without deleting the original recordings, you had to connect
another VCR. With this recorder, you can create your own recordings by adding chapter mar-
kers on suitable positions and then hire the unwanted sections by EDIT function.
You can share your own DVD disc with your friends if they have got a DVD player or DVD-ROM
drive on PC.
