FEATURES AND OPERATIONAL CONTROLS

The optional BALANCED INPUT is unlike the regular RCA-cables insusceptible against interspersion and interferences of the

vehicle’s electronics. You need therefor a Balanced-Line-Transmitter with a special cable, which can be connected between the

head unit and the amplier. The Balance-Line-Transmitter is not included in delivery. Refer to the further information on page 29.

Never use the BALANCED INPUT and the RCA jacks LINE IN at the same time.

The LINE IN RCA jacks must be connected with the RCA output jacks of the headunit.

HI LEVEL INPUTS & AUTO TURN ON

If your head unit has no pre-amplier low level RCA outputs or doesn’t provide a separate remote turn on wire (like described on

page 19/#2), follow these instructions:

AUTO TURN ON

Bring the AUTO TURN ON switch to position ON to activate the auto turn on function. This function only works, if the push button

INPUT LEVEL MODE is in HI position and highlevel inputs (speaker outputs from the headunit) are connected at the LINE IN.

Please check the regarding notes below.

The amplier detects now by the so called ”DC Offset” (a voltage increase to 6 volts on the high level speaker outputs) if the

head unit is turned on and the amplier turns automatically on. As soon as the head unit is turned off, the amplier shuts down

automatically after approx.one minute.

NOTE: The AUTO TURN ON usually works with 90% of all headunits, because they are equipped with the ”High Power” outputs.

Only with a few older headunits the AUTO TURN ON function is not applicable.

The port of the remote connector of the amplier (page 19#2, REM) can now be used also to turn on additional other ampliers.

Connect the REM ports of the ampliers and ensure, that the other amplier’s AUTO TURN ON function is deactivated.

High level speaker cables as signal input:

Please use the optional HF-HLA adaptor from HiFonics (see

page 29). This adaptor is optmized for the use with this amplier

inputs and owns additionally a protect function for the speaker

outputs of your headunit.

Alternative: Solder the ends of the loudspeaker cables of the

head unit with common RCA connectors (separately available)

and connect them with LINE IN of the amplier.

The HI LEVEL INPUTS can be use independently from the AUTO

TURN ON function.
