BATTERY CAUTIONS:
• Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
• When installing batteries, observe proper +/- polarities. Incorrect installation of battery may cause damage
to the unit.
• Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g., alkaline with carbon-zinc or old batteries with new
ones).
• If the unit is not going to be used for a long period of time, remove batteries to prevent damage due to
possible battery leakage.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. Batteries may explode or leak.
FITTING THE BATTERIES
1. Hold the unit in one hand. With the other hand, hold the battery cover
and press your thumb on the ‘open’ mark.
2. Pull the battery compartment down in the direction of the arrow.
(Fig 2).
3. Insert 4xAA batteries into the unit, in the direction shown inside the
unit (observe +/- polarities)
4. Slot the compartment back on to the unit so it clips in place.
5. When replacing the batteries, repeat opening process above. Once the
battery cover has been removed the batteries will fall out of the
compartment. Dispose of used batteries in accordance with the WEEE
directive (see page 3).
