1. Quick start
1. Charge the battery fully before starting for the
first time.
2. In order to remove the battery, hold the handle, insert
the key in the lock and turn it anticlockwise.
The battery is now unlocked.
3. Tilt the battery to the side and lift it with both hands
out of the holder.
4. Place the battery in the plug-in slot in the charger.
The LEDs on the battery light up. The battery must be
charged up for at least 5 hours before using it for the
first time.
5. If all five LEDs light up or if the LEDs have extinguished,
remove the battery from the charger.
6. Replace the battery in the holder from the left hand side. To do this, hold it tilted a
little towards the outside in the same way as you removed it. Now swivel the battery
into an upright position until it latches into place.
If the key is still inserted in the lock, it must first be turned clockwise and removed,
as otherwise the battery will not be locked.
7. Ensure that the battery is seated tightly and that the key is no longer in the lock.
8. Press the ‘Power’ button on the control unit on the handlebar.
Do not pedal for 2 seconds!
9. The middle LED in the ‘Mode’ display area lights up. You can select the level of
assistance by pressing the ‘Mode’ button.
Before putting your feet on the pedals, be sure to keep the brakes applied!
The motor will push you immediately. This start-up assistance is particularly pleasant
when riding uphill. In traffic or on a loose surface, however, an uncontrolled start can
lead to a fall and serious injuries!
10. Now you can start riding!
