Intelligent Key
The Intelligent Key is used to switch on the device and
for enabling cer tain device functions.
●Y ello w: Operator
The device can be used. All settings for the cleaning
programs enabled for t his key via the smartphone
app may be changed .
●Grey: Foreman
The device can be used. All settings for the cleaning
programs available for th e device may be changed.
Installati on
Unloading the device
1. Unscrew the screws on the transport locks.

Installing the brushes

Risk of damage
Batteries may only be replaced with batteries of the
same technology .
Lead batteries must not be replaced by Li-Ion batt eries
Li-ion batteries must not be repla ced by lead batteries.
Lead batteries:
The device requires 2 batteries.
Li-ion batteries:
The device requires 1 battery .

Note
In the case of the device variant with Li-Ion batter y , the
battery is already installed and connecte d. A Li-Ion bat-
tery may only be installed or replaced by the cust omer
service.
DANGER
Danger of fire and explosion!
Do not place tools or similar items on the batte ry . Risk
of short-cir cuit and exp losion.
Smoking and naked flames must be strictly avoided .
Rooms where batteries are charged must have good
ventilation as highly explosi ve gas is emitted during
charging.

Unstable machine position
Ensure that the machine is positi oned stably when re-
moving and installing th e batteries.

Deep discharge
Risk of damage
Charge the batteries be fore starting the device.
1. Push the device approx. 2 m forwards so that the
steering rollers point to the rear .
2. Hold the waste water tank by the recessed grip an d
pivot it sideways and upwards.
3. Fit the batteries in the pan.
4. Connect the batter ies:

Activating the Li-Ion battery
Li-Ion batterie s are delivere d in transport mode and
must be activated before initial startup of the device.
1. Charge the battery (se e "Initial startup/Charg ing the
battery"), this will en d the transport mode.
Removing the battery

Removing and installing the batteries
Unstable machine position
Ensure that the machine is position ed stably when re-
moving and installing the batterie s.

Device tipping over
Risk of injury , risk of damage
Only remove the b atteries when a cleaning head is at-
tached to the device.
1. Set the program selection switch to "0".
2. Remove the Intelligent Key .
3. Empty the waste water ta nk.
4. Push the devi ce approx. 2 m forwards so t hat the
steering rollers point to the rear .
5. Hold the waste water tank by the r ecessed grip and
pivot it sideways and upwards.
6. Disconnect the cable fr om the negative ter minal of
the battery .
7. Disconnect the remaining cable s from the batteries.
8. In the case of Li-I on batteries, also disconnect the
two round plugs on the batter y .
9. Remove the spacers.
10. Remove the batteri es.
1 1. Dispose of t he used batteries in accordance wit h the
applicable regulati ons.
Initial startup
Setting the charging c haracteristic
Before the initial star tup, after a service reset or when
changing to a dif ferent battery type, it is esse ntial to set
the charging characterist ic.
DANGER
Danger due to the device inadvertently starti ng up
Risk of injury
Disconnect the spark plug connector or disconne ct the
battery before performing any work on the device.
AT T E N T I O N
Risk of damage to the battery
The service life and cha rging capacity of th e battery can
be affected by an incorrect charging characteristic.
Make sure that the battery characteristic curve that
matches the battery is se lected in the machine.
The currently selected battery ch aracteristic curve can
be seen on the display or via the app in the "Device st a-
tus" area during chargin g.
Note
The charging character istic can only be adjusted by
Kärcher Service.

Note
T o enable the use of other batteries as well, a custom
battery characteristic cur ve can be created by the
Kärcher service departm ent.
Charging the batt ery
DANGER
Inappropriate use of the charger
Electric shock
Adhere to the mains volta ge and fuse values specified
on the device type plate.
Only use the charger in dry rooms with sufficient venti-
lation.
The built-in charger is electro nically controlled and suit-
able for all recommended batteries, it ends the charging
process automatically .
Note
The corresponding charging character istic must be set
for each type of battery installed.
The installed batte ry is shown in the display when
charging.
The average charging time is approx. 10-15 hours.
The device cannot be used d uring the charg ing pro-
cess.
Note
The device has deep discharge protection, i.e. the
brush motor and turbine ar e switched off automati cally
in operation when the per mitted minimum capacity le vel
is reac hed.
1. Drive the device directly to the charge r and do not
drive on slopes.
2. Plug the mains plug on the power cabl e into the
mains socket.
3. Charge until the display shows full charge.
