Low-maintenance ba tteries (wet batteries)
DANGER
Danger of burns due to acid leakage!
Only fill the battery with water when it is discharged.
When handling battery acid, use safe ty goggles and im-
mediately rinse out any acid splashes on the skin or
clothing with water .
AT T E N T I O N
Risk of damage to the batteries!
Using water with additives will void the battery’s warr anty .
T op up the batteries using only distilled or desalinated
water (EN 50272- T3).
Do not use any foreign additives or touch-u p agents.
1. Add distilled water one hour bef ore the charging
process comes to an end . Observe the correct acid
level according to the battery label.
All cells must produce gas at the e nd of the charging
process.
Switching on the device
1. Insert the Intelligent Key into the control panel.
2. Set the program switch to a cleaning program.
The display shows the following, one af ter the other:
●Kärcher Logo
●T ime until next service in hours
●Battery status and op erating hours
●Software version
●Operating display

Pairing with a smartphone
The "Machine Connect" smartphone app connect ed to
the device can be used to perform advanced device
functions:
●Set the type of cleaning head
●Set the maximum transport sp eed
●Switch the USB port of f/on
●Set the after-run ning time of the brush(es)
●Set the after-run ning time of the suction
●Switch the speed-depen dent water dosing on/of f
●Manage the permissions of the yellow Intelligent
Key
●Restore the factor y settings
Note
The possible functions de pend on the device version.
1. Scan the QR code on the device with your smart-
phone.

2. Install the "Machin e Connect" app o n the smart-
phone and start it.
3. Insert the Intelligent Key into the control panel.
4. Press the "+" and "-" keys on the control panel of the
device simultaneously for 3 seconds.
Note
The Bluetooth® symbol on the contro l panel flashes
during the pairing process.
5. Follow the pairing instructions of the app on t he
smartphone.
6. The functions of the app are explained on th e smart-
phone.
Note
The Bluetooth symbol lights up con tinuously when th e
smartphone is paired with the device.
Note
The mobile phone can be connected to the USB port o f
the device to charge the battery .
Maintenance reques ts
After a certain operating time has elap sed, the display
prompts to perform various maintena nce activities:
1. Carry out the indicated maintenance activity .
2. Press any button o n the control pa nel to confirm.
The prompt is reset an d displayed again af ter the in-
terval has elapsed.

Operate the pedal to ra ise/lower the cl eaning head with
one foot only . Keep the other foot firmly and securel y on
the floor .
Filling with operating materials
Filling w ith fresh wa ter
1. Open the fresh water tank cap.
2. Fill fresh water (max. 50 °C) to the lower edge of the
filling nozzle.
Note: The fresh water hose can be clamped with the
hose holder during filling.
3. Close the fresh water tank lock.
Filling with fresh wate r via the f illing hose
1. Pull the filling ho se out of the de vice.
2. Connect the end of the filling hose to a water tap.
3. Remove the fresh wat er tank cap.
4. Open the water supply (water temper ature maxi-
mum 50 °C).
5. Observe the filling level o f the fresh water tank
through the filling h ole.
6. Close the water in let when the filling level reaches
the lower edge of the filling nozzle.
7. Fit the fresh water tank lock.
8. Disconnect the filling hose from the water tap.
9. Push the filling hose into the device.
Filling with fresh water via the filling syst em
1. Connect the wa ter hose to the conn ection nozzle of
the filling system (maximum water temperature 50 °C).
2. Open the w ater in let.
3. Monitor the device, the automatic fi lling system in-
terrupts the water supply when t he fresh water tank
is full.
4. Close the water inlet.
5. Remove the water hose.
Notes on detergents

Unsuitable detergents
Health risk, damage to the device
Use only recommended detergents. The o perator car-
ries all increased risks relati ng to operational safet y and
increased risk of accident s if using other deterg ents.
Use only detergents free of solvents, sa lt and hydrofluo-
ric acid.
Adhere to the safe ty instructions stat ed on the detergent
packaging.
Note
Do not use heavily f oaming detergent.
Recommended detergents
Addition of detergent with a dosing device
Only with DOSE variant:
Detergent is adde d to the fresh wa ter on the way to the
cleaning head by a dosing device.
1. Fill the deterg ent into the detergent cani ster .
Note
A maximum of 3% detergent can be adde d with the dos-
ing device. If the dosage is higher , the detergent must
be added to the fresh water tank.
AT T E N T I O N
Danger of clogging
When adding detergent t o the fresh water tank, the de-
tergent can dry out and disrupt th e function of the dosing
device.
Rinse the device with clear water after adding t he deter-
gent to the fre sh water tank: Select a cleaning program
with water application, set the water quantity to the high-
est value, set the dete rgent dosage to 0.
Adding detergent without a dosing device
1. Fill the detergent into the fresh water tank.
Note
The cap of the fill ing hole has a scale inside and can be
used to measure the deter gent volume.
Setting the detergent dosage
With the DOSE device variant, th e detergent is added to
the fresh water on its way to the cleaning head.
The detergent dosage can be set sep arately for each
cleaning programme.
1. Insert the Intelligent Key into the control panel.
2. Select the cleaning programme to be se t with the
programme switch.
3. Press the Detergent dosing but ton.
4. Set the de sired detergen t dosage with th e "+" and "-
" buttons.
5. T o accept the setting, either wait 3 seconds or press
one of the other buttons.
Adjusting the water quantity
1. Adjust the water quan tity according to the degree of
soiling of the floor covering.
Note
Perform initial cleaning tests with a low water volume.
Increase the water volume step by step unt il achieving
the desired cleaning result .
Note
The cleaning head continues operating witho ut a liquid
supply if the fresh water tank is empty .
Manual water va lve
A device with a manual water valve is equipped with a
regulating knob f or water dosage to the right of th e con-
trol panel.
1. T urn the water dosage regulat ing knob to the de-
sired value.
Note
The brush irrigation is only act ive when the cleaning
head is lowered and the driving lever is actuated.
Electric water valve
A device with an electric water valve is equip ped with a
water dosage button on the control panel.
The water dosage can be se t separately for ea ch clean-
ing programme.
1. Insert the Intelligent Key into the control panel.
2. Select the cleaning programme to be se t with the
programme switch.
3. Press the water dosage button.
4. Set the desired water dosage wit h the "+" and "-"
buttons .
5. T o accept the setting, either wait 3 seconds or press
one of the other buttons.
Note

head is lowered and the driving lever is actuated.
Adjusting the inclinatio n of the su ction bar
The inclination must be adjust ed so that the suction lips
of the suction b ar make even contact with t he floor over
the entire length of the suctio n bar .
1. Park the devi ce on a surf ace without a slop e.
2. Select the "Sucti on" program.
3. Drive the device a small distance forwards.
The suction bar is lowered.
4. Read the spirit level.
