Using the appliance

Setting and starting the automatic defrosting

function

To gently accelerate the defrosting of frozen food

using the automatic defrosting function,

proceed as follows:

• Place the frozen food in a leak-proof container

in the cooking chamber.

• In stand-by mode, touch the key once

so that the icon for defrosting appears on the opera-

ting display of the functions.

• When automatic defrosting is selected, the automatic

programme code d01, the preset value for the frozen

food quantity (weight) and the corresponding defros-

ting time are shown in the respective display elds.

• To change the preset paremeter for the frozen food

quantity, activate the weight setting with the key

(display ashes) and set the desired value with the

and keys, as also described for manual setting.

Notes:

• The defrosting duration setting depends on the

quantity of frozen food and is automatically adjusted

to its setting.

• The cooking chamber is not heated for the defrosting

process. It is not possible to set a cooking tempera-

ture for this.

• Wait until the display stops ashing.

The current setting is then adopted.

• Start the cooking process by touching the key.

The heating process starts and the time display shows

the countdown of the set defrosting duration.

• After the defrosting time has elapsed,

operation stops automatically.

Using the pre-heating function

Activate the pre-heating function if your dish requires

the appliance to be pre-heated in order to receive a signal

when the set target temperature is reached

and to avoid having to monitor the heating level yourself.

To do this, proceed as follows:

• Note that the food may only be placed in the cooking

chamber after the pre-heating phase has been comple-

ted.

• Select one of the following cooking functions,

for which the pre-heating function is selectable:

• Hot air

• Convection grill

• Microwave + Hot air

• Microwave + Convection grill

• Touch the key.

The pre-heating icon appears on the operating

display of the functions.

• Start the pre-heating phase with the key.

The heating process starts.

Notes:

• During pre-heating, the microwave function is deac-

tivated.

• Opening the appliance door or touching the key

interrupts the pre-heating process.

• When the set cooking temperature is reached,

three beeps sound and the icon ashes.

Now place the food in the cooking chamber

and start the cooking process by touching the key.
