6) Lift the cover and verify the sealing of the bag.

MANUAL VACUUM PACKAGING

It is possible to use the vacuum packaging also for particularly delicate/

fragile products like strawberries, wild berries, thin breadstick, vegetables,

fish, etc. The total air suction by automatic procedure tends to squash these

types of food damaging them; therefore, it is suggested in these cases to

use the manual vacuum packaging (from 0 to -300 mb).

To perform the manual vacuum packaging, proceed according to paragraph

“INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE - USE OF THE BAGS” from step 1 to step 8.

Pressed the “O/I” key.

The air suction starts. Carefully observe the air suction from the bag

and when it is deemed suitable, block the vacuum packaging procedure

pressing the “O/I” key; the device performs the automatic sealing of the bag

(ON/OFF warning light on, full brightness).

Wait for few seconds, slightly lift one side of the exhaust valve positioned

on the cover (caution: Do not pull the valve too much to prevent it from

being removed from the cover itself) and release the locking levers by

pressing firmly on both sides of the cover (until you hear a “click”).

Lift the cover verifying the bag sealing.

VACUUM PACKAGING FOR LIQUIDS

To vacuum package the liquids, it is necessary to pre-freeze them. Place

the liquid food in a suitable container and then put it into the freezer for

about 12-18 hours, then remove it from the container and insert it into a

bag for vacuum packaging. Remove the air and seal the bag as described in

the paragraph “instructions for use”; then place the bag in freezer.

These foodstuffs can be defrosted by dipping them into boiling water or

using the microwave oven.

To preserve liquids in vacuum packages, it is possible to use either the

bags or the suitable containers for vacuum packaging.

SEAL OR BAG-CLOSING FUNCTION

This device can have the function of bag closing, without necessarily

creating the vacuum.

It is sufficient to place the end of the bag that one wishes to close, perfectly

clean and well stretched, on the sealing strip.

Caution! Do not let the bag stick out into the suction chamber or on the

seal.

Firmly press with one hand on one of the cover sides and with the other

hand hook the locking lever.

Repeat the operation, to hook the lever on the other side of the cover.Now

the cover is closed.

Press the key “O/I”, the device is performing the sealing.

When the sealing process has ended, slightly lift one side of the exhaust

valve positioned on the cover (caution: Do not pull the valve too much

to prevent it from being removed from the cover itself) and release the

locking levers by pressing firmly on both sides of the cover (until you hear

a “click”).

Lift the cover and verify the sealing of the bag.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Carefully wash your hands before performing the cleaning of the device.

N.B.: before performing the cleaning procedures, make sure

that the plug has been disconnected from the power supply

outlet.

Before and after the use, clean the device with a dry or lightly wet cloth

paying attention not to let liquids penetrate within the device. The sealing

bar is coated with Teflon; it is important to remove any rest of nylon (bag)

using a soft cloth after each use, paying attention not to damage it.

Clean the sealing bar only when it is cold. Remove any residual parts using

a soft cloth.

Do not use sharp objects. This unit contains precision components.

Therefore, avoid to let the device undergo extreme temperature variations,

humidity, bumps, dust and direct sunlight.

Do not let the unit fall or being hit.

For the cleaning, never use chemical or abrasive products.

The following spare part is available from your reseller: seal and sealing

gasket: code AHI004.

10)Lift the cover verifying the bag sealing and store in the fridge, freezer

or larder.

USE OF THE ROLLS

This device for vacuum packaging is equipped with roll compartment

(maximum width 280 mm).

The roll allows you to prepare bags having the wished length, suitable for

the food to be preserved.

1) Place the roll in the proper “roll compartment” and establish the length

of the bag considering the length of the food to be preserved and adding

at least 8 cm; add further 2 cm for each time the bag will be re-used.

2) Roll down the roll and position it on the cutter trajectory (see figure 3).

With a hand hold the bag and with the other let the cutter slide from right

to left to cut the roll.

3) Position one of the two open ends of the bag on the sealing bar with the

smooth part upwards.

Caution! Do not let the bag project in the suction chamber or on the

gasket.

Make sure that the bag is well stretched, clean and without wrinkles.

4) Firmly press with one hand on one of the cover sides and with the other

hand hook the locking lever. Repeat the operation, to hook the lever on

the other side of the cover.

5) Now the cover is closed. Press the key “O/I” to start the sealing

automatically (ON/OFF warning light on, full brightness).

Wait for few seconds, slightly lift one side of the exhaust valve positioned

on the cover.
