Before starting the game, the players should have about 20
seconds to memorize the tiles forming the circle before the
Guide flips them face-down.
First, the Guide takes the Travel deck, face down, shuffles it
and draws 3 Places cards which they keep in their hand so
that they can look at them without showing the other players.
Then, starting with the first player to their left, the Guide
names one of the three places mentioned on the cards in
their hand, without showing that card. That player must find
the round tile corresponding to the named place by flipping
one of the tiles forming the circle. If successful, the Guide
proceeds to the next player, going clockwise, by naming one
of the remaining two places. If that player manages to find
the place from among the tiles forming the circle, the Guide
names the third and final place for the next player in the turn
order to find.
Example: with four players, Tom is the Guide (A). First, he'll
interrogate Peggy (B), then Paul (C) and finally Suzanne
(D).
Note: with three players, Tom is the Guide. He'll interrogate
Peggy, then Paul, and finally Peggy again.
