MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR
• Thisvehiclerequiresregularmaintenancebytheuser.Regularly
check all rivets and connecting devices for tightness and security.
Inspect all brakes, wheels and tyres and replace or repair if
necessary. Check all safety devices for correct operation, in
particulartheprimaryandsecondarylocks.Theseshouldbefree
to move at all times. Never continue to use a product that is not
structurally sound.
• Werecommendaserviceevery12months.
• Ifwheelssqueak,lubricatesparinglywithWD40Teflonorsilicone
coating.DoNOTuseoilorgreasebasedproducts,asthiswill
attract dirt, which will clog the movement.
• OnlyMaclarenreplacementpartsshouldbeused.Itmaybe
unsafetousepartsnotsuppliedbyMaclaren.
NEVER LEAVE YOUR CHILDREN UNATTENDED. THE SAFETY OF CHILDREN IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.
AVOID SERIOUS INJURY FROM FALLING OR SLIDING OUT. ALWAYS USE THE RESTRAINT SYSTEM.
THIS VEHICLE IS SUITABLE FOR ONE CHILD. THIS SEAT UNIT IS INTENDED FOR CHILDREN FROM 3 MONTHS
AND UP TO A MAXIMUM WEIGHT OF 15 KG.
IMPORTANT: READ THESE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY BEFORE USE AND KEEP THEM FOR FUTURE REFERENCE.
WARNING
Any load attached to the handle affects the stability
of the buggy.
This buggy is not suitable for running or skating. Ensure
that all locking devices are engaged before use.
To avoid injury ensure that your child is kept away when
unfolding and folding this product.
Do not let your child play with this product.
IMPORTANT
It is important for your child’s safety that the harness
be correctly tted and adjusted. If not adjusted
correctly in accordance with the instructions the
stability of the buggy will be impaired.
Thechildshouldbeclearofmovingpartswhilemaking
adjustments.
IMPORTANT-DANGER- It is important that great care is
taken to ensure that children are kept well clear of the
buggy when folding or unfolding the product. Finger
traps and scissoring actions are unavoidable during
these operations.
•Followallinstructionscarefully.Incorrectusewillcause
damage to buggy.
• Childrenshouldbeharnessedinatalltimesandshould
never be left unattended.
• Theharnessandseatbeltarenotasubstituteforproper
adult supervision.

1 TO OPEN THE BUGGY
A Releasestorageclip.
B Open out the buggy.
C Using foot, push the brake pedal down fully to engage
the primary locks.
WARNING: Ensure that all locking devices are engaged
before use.
2 TO OPERATE BRAKES
Locate the brake lever at the back of the buggy frame.
A TOENGAGEBRAKES:Withfoot,pressdownontheleft
side of the pedal.
B TORELEASEBRAKES:Withfoot,pressdownontheright
side of the pedal.
WARNING: Parking device shall be engaged during the
loading and unloading of children.
WARNING: Ensure parking device is engaged before leaving
the buggy unattended.
3 TO OPERATE FRONT WHEEL SWIVEL LOCKS
A TOLOCKSWIVELS:Alignfrontwheelsandpressdown
on locking levers.
B TOUNLOCKSWIVELS:Raiselockinglevers.
4 SEAT BELT/SHOULDER HARNESS OPERATION
WARNING: The seat is not suitable for children under
3 months.
WARNING: Avoid serious injury from falling or sliding out.
Always use the crotch strap in combination with the waist
and shoulder straps.
TOFITHARNESS:
A Pull shoulder straps over the childs shoulder then
attach to the waist clips by sliding strap loops onto
the hooks.
B Insert both waist clips into the clasp, shoulder straps
are secured once the clips are fastened.
C Adjust strap lengths by sliding buckles. Belt and harness
should be snug. ‘D’ rings are included for an additional
harness, if desired.
TORELEASEHARNESS:
D Press the button on both the front and back of the
clasp simultaneously to release.
5 TO ADJUST SEAT RECLINE
A TORECLINESEATBACK:Liftbothhandgripstorelease
seat locks and slide the seat back to desired position.
Lower hand grips to engage locks on both sides.
B TORAISESEATBACK:Fromrearofbuggy push seat
back to original upright or desired intermediate
position.
6 TO OPERATE THE LEGREST
TOEXTENDTHELEGREST:Feelthroughseatcorner
openings. Locate sliders and pull forward.Reversethis
process to retract legrest.
7 TO FIT THE SHOPPING BAG
CAUTION: Overloading may cause a hazardous unstable
condition to exist. Maximum load 4.4 lb (2 kg) evenly
distributed. The buggy may be folded with the bag still
attached but all contents must be removed. Failure to do
this could damage buggy and contents of shopping bag.
A Placebagonthe‘X’frameunderseatwithlowest
edge of bag at front.
B Attach front straps to front legs just below seat.
C Attach rear straps to rear legs just above horizontal
tie bar.
8 TO ATTACH THE HOOD
CAUTION: Overloading may cause a hazardous unstable
condition to exist. Maximum carrying capacity of hood
pouch - 1.1lb (0.5kg.)
A SlidelefthandandrighthandpivotblocksDOWN
over the retainers located on the handle tubes.
B Place rear apron behind seat back.
C Extend hood and press down on side hinges to
lock open.
9 TO FIT THE RAIN APRON
A Place the apron over the hood front.
B Attach two eyelets (one each side) to the hood clips.
C Attach the two eyelets (one each side) to the front legs.
10 REMOVING AND REFITTING THE SEAT COVER
Remove hood from buggy if fitted.
A Twistshoulderstrapendbucklesandfeedthroughholes.
B Feedwaistandcrotchstraps through holes.
C Unclip seat cover retaining straps.
D Unfasten seat fabric from handle tubes and seat base.
E Slide fabric from seat back and base.
F Whenrefittingseatfabric,insertseatbacksupport
tubes into fabric slits.
G Whenrefittingseatfabrictoseatbase,loopfabricflap
over legrest strap and pass crotch strap buckle through
both holes in seat fabric and then hole in seat base.
H Whenrefittingshoulderstraps,choosethefabricholes
appropriatetothechild’ssize.Twistthebucklesand
feed through seat fabric and then through holes in
seat back arms.
11 TO REMOVE THE CARRY STRAP
A Releasetheprimarylockandsecondarylock.
B Press clip release and remove clip from ‘D’ ring.
C Slide strap loops from handles.
D Using foot, push the brake pedal down fully to engage
the primary lock.
12 TO FOLD THE BUGGY
Ensure the seat back is in its fullest upright position and the
hood (if fitted) is folded back. Remove contents of shopping
bag. It is recommended that the harness is fastened before
folding the buggy.
A Using foot, lift up on brake pedal to release
primary lock.
B Push down on secondary lock lever.
C Grip handles and push forward on buggy.
D Compress folded buggy and engage storage clip.

• Donotcarryadditionalchildren,goodsoraccessories
in or on this buggy except as permitted in this leaflet.
Theymaycausethebuggytobecomeunstable.
• Overloading,incorrectfoldingandtheuseofaccessories,
i.e. child seats, bag hooks, rain covers, buggy boards, etc.,
otherthanthoseapprovedbyMaclarenmaydamageor
break this vehicle.
• Anydamagecausedbytheuseofaccessoriesnot
suppliedbyMaclarenwillnotbecoveredbytheterms
of our warranty.
• Neverleavechildinthebuggywhenascendingor
descending stairs or escalators or when travelling on
other forms of transport.
• Thebuggyshouldalwaysopenandfoldeasily.Donot
force it. It may be necessary to re-read the instructions.
• Negotiatecurbsandroughgroundcarefully.Repeated
impact will cause damage to the buggy.
• Neverallowchildrentostandonthefootrest.
• Donotleavethebuggyexposedtoheati.e.byaradiator
or in direct sunlight.
•Donotplaceitemsonthetopofthehood.
CLEANING
• Cleanframewithadampclothandamilddetergentanddry
thoroughly. Do not use abrasives.
• Ifthebuggychassispartshavebeenexposedtosaltwaterwe
recommend that they be rinsed down with fresh (tap) water
as soon as possible afterwards.
•Thehoodmaybespongedlightlyusingadampclothanda
mild detergent.
• Theseatcovermaybewashed-seecarelabelsfordetails.
Dry thoroughly before reuse.
• Donotfoldorstoretheproductwhilewetandneverstoreina
damp environment as this can cause mildew to form.
