SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm person without supervision.
Young children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed including
the following :
1. Read this instructions booklet carefully before installing and using the machine.
2. To protect against risk of electric shock, do not immerse electric motor assembly in
water or any other liquid.
3. Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used by or near children. The
appliance must be installed out of the reach of children.
4. Unplug from outlet when not in use, before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning.
5. Avoid contact with moving parts. Keep hands and ustensils out of cylinder bowl while in
use to reduce the risk of injury to persons or to the appliance itself. DO NOT USE
SHARP OBJECTS OR UTENSILS INSIDE THE CYLINDER BOWL. Sharp objects will
scratch and damage the bowl. A rubber spatula or wooden spoon may be used, when
the appliance is in the “off” position.
6. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service
agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard
7. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the appliance manufacturer may
cause fire, electric shock or injury.
8. Do not use outdoors.
9. Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter or touch hot surfaces.
10. This appliance is for household use only. An authorised Service Centre should perform
any servicing other than cleaning and user maintenance.
11. Never heat the ice cream container. The ice cream container is a sealed vessel. Heating
may result in rupture of the vessel and possible personnal injury.
Materials and articles destined for use in contact with food products conform
to the EC Directives EEC/89/109. In addition, this appliance is manufactured in
compliance with applicable EEC directives, CE including those relative to radio
interference.
This symbol indicates that this product should not be treated as regular house-
hold waste. It should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of electrical
and electronic equipment. For more details about collection points, please
contact your local council or your household waste disposal service.
