3.3. INSTALLATION OF CERAMICS
INSTALLATION OF THE TILES MUST ALWAYS START
FROM THE BOTTOM.
THE 4 CERAMIC SIDES OF THE SOLAR STOVE ARE
ALL THE SAME.
INSTALLATION OF LATERAL CERAMICS (Only SOLAR stove)
Side-lower ceramics
In the lower part of the stove, at the base, two pins protrude upwards
(A). They must coincide with the holes in the lower part of the side
ceramic (B1). Before inserting the ceramics on these pins, you will
need to loosen the screws (D) which support the central bracket for
fastening the ceramics (C). When you loosen the screws, the bracket
can be raised and lowered thanks to the slotted holes in the structure.
Once the bracket is loosened, hold it up and insert the majolica. Line up
the lower holes in the ceramic (B1) with the pins (A) on the base of
the stove. Insert the majolica and lower the bracket (C) so as to match
the lower pins of the central bracket (E) with the upper holes of the
ceramic (B2). Tighten the screws (D) so that the majolica is firmly
anchored.
Side-upper ceramics
The method of fastening the side-upper ceramic is the same as for the
lower one. In fact, you will need to match the lower holes of the
ceramic (B1) with the upper pins of the central bracket (F).
However, before doing this you will need to loosen the screw (H) that
holds the bracket (G). When you loosen the screw, the bracket can be
adjusted thanks to the slotted hole in the structure.
Once you have loosened the upper bracket (G) proceed as mentioned
with the insertion of the ceramic, aligning the lower holes of the
ceramic (B1) with the pins (E) and the upper holes (B2) with the pins
(J) of the bracket (G). When insertion is complete, secure the bracket
(G) using the screw (H) so that the majolica is firmly anchored.
It is advisable to place small felt pads on the
ceramics where they touch the metallic parts of the
stove.
INSTALLATION OF CERAMIC TOP (SOLAR AND GEA)
Lastly, install the majolica top, first installing the rubbers with the
washers (K) provided with the stove. The rubbers are provided
separately and are contained in the package of accessories (glove,
hook, instruction booklet, etc.)
Then set the top on the four rubbers (K).
Manually check that the top is stable. If you find a pint that needs
levelling, you can do this by removing the washer under the rubbers.
NOTE: for the Solar stove, the top is installed with the hopper cover
raised.
