OPERATING THE APPLIANCE
Basic operation
• Toopentheappliance,graspthehandle.
• Checkthattheltersinthebaseoftheappliance
arettedcorrectlyandarenotblocked.
• Puttheitemstobewashedintherackandcutlery
basket.

Glasses must always be turned upside down so
water runs off easily.
º
Glasses should not be put over the pins, which
are intended for plates. The pins do not provide
sufcientsupport,whichmeansglassesmayfall
over and be damaged.
º
Always place sharp knives with the blade
downwards in the cutlery basket to avoid cutting
yourself.
º
Very dirty dishes should be rinsed off before
putting them in the machine. Ensure that large
food residues are removed to prevent them
blockingthelterinthebaseoftheappliance.
• Checkthatthedishwasherarmmovesfreelyand
can turn a complete circle.
• Filldishwasherdetergentinthemaindishwasher
detergent compartment (4), using the measuring
compartment.

As a guideline, use one measure of detergent per
wash cycle, but check local guidelines for
your area. Check also with your local waterworks
and read the manufacturer’s instructions on the
detergent pack.
º
If there is heavy food residue on the dishes,
add extra detergent in the secondary dishwasher
detergent compartment (5).
º
Neverusedishwashertabswithshortprograms.
The tabs may not dissolve completely and are
therefore not effective for use with short
programs.
• Closethedoor.Checkthatthedoorisclosed
properly before continuing.
• Checkthatthewatersupplyisconnectedandon.
• Selectwashprogram:TurntheProgrambutton(1)
until the indicator for the correct program lights up.

• PressthePowerbutton(b)tostarttheappliance.

The indicator light (a) lights up when the
appliance is switched on.
• Oncetheprogramisnished,theappliancestops
automatically. An acoustic signal sounds for 8
seconds when the wash cycle is complete.
• SwitchofftheappliancebypressingthePower
button (off).
Wash program overview
Selectoneoftheappliance’s6washprograms:Press
the Program button until the indicator lights up for the
program you require.
Temporary interruption of wash program
• Anywashprogramcanbetemporarilyinterruptedat
anytimebypressingtheStart/Resetbutton(k).
• Whenthewashprogramisinterrupted,anacoustic
signal sounds once a minute until the appliance is
restarted. To restart, close the door (if it has been
opened)andpressthestart/resetbutton.The
appliance restarts after 10 seconds.
• Whenthewashprogramisinterrupted,youcan
switch to another wash program by pressing the
program selector button.
After each wash program
• Thepowertotheapplianceremainsonuntilitis
interrupted by pressing the Power button.
• Thenallowthedishestocoolforapproximately15
minutes before emptying the appliance.
• Oncetheapplianceisempty,checkthelterin
the base of the appliance for impurities. Clean if
necessary.
Some useful advice
• Disheswilldryquickerifthedoorisopenedslightly
afterthewashprogramhasnished.
• Besuretorinsedishesafteruse.Disheswithdried-
onfoodaremoredifculttocleanusinganormal
program.
• Detergentlosesitsdetergencyovertime.Ifyour
detergent is very old or lumpy, it should be replaced.
