Manual cooking – selecting power level

Setthedesiredcookingtimeusingthebuttons“10
Min”(2),“1Min”(3)and“10Sec”(4).Themaximum
cooking time that can be set is 60 minutes.
2. Pressthe“Start/Reset”buttontocommencecooking.
3. Theovenwillstartandthedisplaywillshowthe
remaining cooking time.
Grill and combination cooking
Theappliancehastwogrillprogramsandtwocombination
programswithacombinationofmicrowaveeffectandgrill
(see table above).
1. Pressthe“Micro/Grill”buttonrepeatedlytoselecta
grill program or a combination program.
2. Settherequiredcookingtimeusingthe“10Min”,“1
Min”and“10Sec”buttons.Themaximumcooking
time that can be set is 60 minutes.

NOTE!Whenusingthegrillprogramsyouheartwobeeps
whenhalfthecookingtimehaspassedtoindicatethat
youshouldturnthefood(seethesection“Tipsforfood
preparationbelow”).Closetheovendoorandpress
the“Start/Reset”buttontoresumepreparationafter
turningthefood.Ifyoudonotdoanything,theappliance
automatically starts again after 1 minute.
Defrost function
Thedefrostprogramenablesyoutodefrostfoodinthe
oven.
1. Placethefrozenfoodsintheappliance.
2. Pressthe“Micro/Grill”buttonrepeatedlytochoosethe
defrostprogram(“dEF”).
3. Settherequiredweightusingthe“1Min”and“10
Sec”buttons.Theapplianceautomaticallycalculates
thecookingtimefortheweightgiven.
o Themaximumweightthatcanbesetis2kg.
4. Pressthe“Start/Reset”buttontocommence
defrosting.
5. Theovenwillstartandthedisplaywillshowthe
remaining cooking time.
CHILD SAFETY LOCK
Thechildsafetylockpreventsyoungchildrenfromusing
theappliance.Theappliancecannotbeoperatedas
longasthechildsafetylockisactive.Thechildsafety
lockisactivatedbysimultaneouslyholdingdownthe“1
Min”and“10Sec”buttonsfortwoseconds.Abeepwill
soundandthedisplayshows“[]”.Thechildsafetylockis
deactivatedbysimultaneouslyholdingdownthe“1Min”
and“10Sec”buttonsfortwoseconds.Abeepwillsound
andthedisplaywillrevertto“00.0”.
TIPS FOR FOOD PREPARATION
Whenpreparingfoodinamicrowaveoven,thefollowing
basic rules apply:
Cooking time
Smallerquantitiesoffoodcookmorerapidlythan
largequantities.Iftheamountoffoodisdoubled,the
preparation time must correspondingly be more than
doubled.
Smallpiecesofmeat,smallshandchoppedvegetables
cookmorequicklythanlargepieces.Forthesamereason,
itisrecommended,if,forexample,youwishtomake
goulash,stewsorsimilar,-themeatshouldbecutinto
pieces no bigger than 2 x 2 cm.
Thecompactnessofthefoodisalsoveryimportantforthe
cookingtime.Themorecompactthefoodis,thelongerit
takes to cook.
• Wholejointsrequirealongercookingtimethanstewed
dishes.
• Ajointrequiresalongertimethanadishusingminced
meat.
Thecolderthefood,thelongerthecookingtimeneedsto
be.Foodatroomtemperaturewillthereforecookfaster
thanfoodfromafridgeorfreezer.
Whencookingvegetables,thecookingtimedepends
onthefreshnessofthevegetables.Therefore,checkthe
condition of the vegetables and add or deduct a little time
accordingly.
Theshortcookingtimewhenusingamicrowaveoven
means that the food does not overcook.
• Ifrequired,alittlewatercanbeadded.
• Whencookingshandvegetables,youonlyneedto
usetheminimumofwater.
Microwave power
Thechoiceofpowersettingdependsontheconditionof
the food to be cooked.
Inmostcases,thefoodiscookedonfullpower.
• Fullpowerisused,amongotherthings,forreheating
foodquickly,boilingwaterorsimilar.
• Lowpowerisprincipallyusedtodefrostfoodand
preparedishescontainingcheese,milkoregg.(Whole
eggsintheirshellcannotbecookedinamicrowave
oven,asthereisariskoftheeggsexploding.)In
addition,lowerpowersettingsarealsousedtonish
off and to retain the excellent aroma of a dish.
