Incorrect use of this appliance may cause personal injury and •

Use for its intended purpose only. The manufacturer is not •
responsible for any injury or damage resulting from incorrect use
or handling (see also Guarantee Terms).
For domestic use only. Not for outdoor or commercial use. •
For connection to 230 V, 50 Hz only.•
Do not immerse the appliance, cord or plug in water and make •
sure no water enters the appliance.
Never touch the appliance, cord or plug with wet or damp hands.•
This symbol •
means that the appliance cannot be used in the
bath tub or near water, wash basins, bowls or the like. Should
the appliance fall into water, always unplug the appliance before
picking up the appliance.
If using the appliance in the bathroom, remove the plug from the •
socket after use, as water poses a hazard even if the appliance is
switched off.
For safety reasons, we recommend use of this appliance only if the •
installation is protected by an HFI-/HPFI relay. It is recommended
that an earth leak circuit breaker with a nominal operating current
that does not exceed 30 mA is installed in the electrical circuit that
supplies power to the bathroom. Contact an authorised electrician
if you need advice.
Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight, high temperatures, •
humidity, dust or corrosive substances.
Never leave the appliance unattended when it is switched on.•
Never leave unattended when in use, and keep an eye on children •
in the vicinity of the appliance when it is being used. The appliance
is not a toy.
The appliance is not to be used on persons with reduced •
sensitivity, physical or mental disabilities or persons who are
unable to use the appliance unless supervised or instructed by a
person responsible for their safety.
Only use accessories manufactured or recommended by the •

Use
Do not cover the appliance while it is in use.•
Caution! The metal parts of the appliance become very hot. •
Contact with the skin can cause burns.
Do not allow the appliance to heat in same area for too long, as •
this may damage your hair.
Please note that the appliance will remain hot for a while after you •
switch it off. Always allow it to cool completely before you put it
away or change accessories.
Always keep the appliance at a safe distance from flammable •
objects such as curtains, tablecloths and the like.
Do not use or put down in humid surroundings.•
