Push a roughly 20 cm-long wire (16) into the suction
channel (15) as far as the bend and loosen the block
(17).
If necessary, the block (17) can also be loosened
with compressed air.
Clean the machine regularly. This includes
vacuum cleaning the ventilation louvres on the
motor.
Adhesive sanding sheet no longer sticks to the
grinding plate
Possible causes:
Hook and loop backing of the grinding plate is dirty
or worn.
Actions:
Clean grinding plate (10).
Replace grinding plate (10).
Grinding plate no longer locks during
alignment
Possible causes:
Blind holds in the grinding plate are blocked.
Action:
Remove grinding plate (10) and knock free the blind
holes.
Insufficient suction
Possible cause (when using the dust cassette):
Dust filter is blocked with grinding dust.
Action:
Knock out dust filter, or replace if required.
Other possible causes:
Suction channel is blocked.
Actions:
Use the hand to knock on the triangle cutter.
Connection external suction and extract.
Clean suction channel as described in the chapter
Maintenance.
Use only genuine Metabo accessories.
See page 4.

10.1 Attaching, removing ribbed grinding
plate
To fit
Position ribbed grinding plate (14) such that the
hook and loop backing faces downwards and the
peaks are facing forwards. In addition, the two rods
on the triangle cutter lock in the holes in the ribbed
grinding plate (14).
Tighten hexagon socket screw (12) without spring
(11) with hexagon spanner (6).
Removal
To remove the ribbed grinding plate (14), follow the
work steps for attaching it, in the reverse order.
10.2 Removing, attaching extraction sockets
If you want to use external dust extraction, connect
the extraction sockets to your triangle cutter.
A general vacuum cleaner from Metabo or another
suitable suction device can be connected to the
extraction socket.
If you do not connect a dust extractor to the
extraction sockets (3), you must insert the plugs (5).
Removal
Loosen and remove hexagon socket screw (4)
using the hexagon spanner (6).
Pull out extraction sockets (3) backwards.
To fit
Push extraction sockets (3) from the back to the
stop on the triangle cutter.
Insert and tighten hexagon socket screw (4) using
the hexagon spanner (6).
Repairs to electrical tools must ONLY be
carried out by qualified electricians!

Always dispose of sanding dust at special collection
points for hazardous waste not with the household
waste as the dust may contain hazardous materials.
