PLACEMENT
Mounting bracket
Mounting in the V ehicle
Use the supplied car mounting brackets to install units on the back of the vehicle’s
headrests.
1. Remove the 4 screws on the headrest bracket. Fix the headrest bracket into the
steel pipes of the vehicle’s headrest using these screws.
2. Fix the back holder and connecting shaft through the joint rotation fastening knob.
3. Combine the holder into the headrest bracket.
4. Fix the unit to the back holder using the knob screws.
Caution!
- Make sure the screws are properly locked to avoid accidental loosening.
- Always remember to lock the holder to ensure the safety of your passengers.
- Do not install when car travels.
5. Connect the 12V car plug as shown.
CAUTION: Using other car plugs could damage the unit.

4:3 P ANSCAN
• When wide-screen video is played, this mod e clips the right and left sides of the image
so that it can be viewed on a conventional screen.
• Some wide -screen DVDs that do not permit Pan Scan mode playback are
automatically playe d in letterbox mode (black bands t op and bottom).
4:3 LETTE RBOX
• When wide-screen video is played i n this mode on a conventional screen, blac k bands
appear at t he top and bot tom of the screen.
16:9 (Wide screen)
• This is the correct mode for playing wide-screen videos on a wide-screen TV .
WIDE SQUEEZE
The wide-screen image will be displayed in ful l screen in its native aspect ratio and so
does the 4:3 image but with black borders on the left and the right side.
Notes:
• The visible pic ture size is preset on the DVD disc. Therefore the playback picture o f
some DVD discs ma y not conf orm to t he picture size you select.
• When you play DVD discs recor ded i n the 4 :3 aspect ratio, the playback picture
will always appears in the 4:3 aspect ratio regardless of the TV shape setting in the
function setup menu.
CLOSED CAPTIONS
Some discs have clo sed captions.

P ARENT AL
Some DVD discs are equipped with a pas sword function and are rated according to
their conten t. The contents allo wed by par ental lock level and the way a DVD disc is
controlled may vary f rom disc to disc. For example, if the disc allows, you could lock-
out violent scenes unsu it able for children or you coul d lock out playback of the disc
altogether.
Y ou cannot play DVD discs rated higher than the level you se lected unless you cancel
the parental lock funct ion.
The parental lo ck levels ar e equivalent to the f ollowing rat ings.

ENSURE that all electrical connections (including the mains plug, ext ension leads and
interconnecti ons between pieces of equipment) are properly ma de in accor dance with
the instructions given. Switch off the main supply when making or changing connections.
CONSUL T your dealer if you are ev er in doubt about the installation, oper ation or sa fety
of y our equipme nt.
DON’T continue to oper ate the equipment if it is damaged in any way or if it does not
function normally . Disconnect the AC adap tor and consult y our dealer .
DON’T leave equ ipment switched on when it is unattended unless it is part of it’s normal
function to operate in your absence, for example a video cassette recorder with timed
recording facility .
LISTEN to headphones at modera te volume lev els; high volume levels can permanently

W ARNING:

• It also should not be placed in temperatures less than 5°C or greater than 35°C.

and main unit.
• Do not use the unit immediately after transport ation from a cold place to a warm plac e,
condensation problem may result.
• The v entilation shoul d not be impeded by covering the ventilation openi ngs with items
such as newspapers, table-cloths, cu rt ains, etc.

• The apparatus should not be exp osed to dripping or splashing.

• Excessive sound pressure from earphones and head phones can cause hearing loss.
• Under the inuence of electr ical fast transient or/ and electros tatic phenomenon, the
product may malfunction and require us er to pow er reset.
Cleaning
Be sure to turn the unit off and disconnect the AC adaptor before maintaining the
unit.
• Use a soft, dry , clean cloth. Regularly dust the vents at the back or sides.
• Using solvents, abrasive or alcohol-based pro ducts risks damaging the appliance.
• If an object or liquid enters inside the appliance, unplug it immediately and have it
checked by an authorized enginee r.
Note on disc
• Do not use irregular shape CDs (example: heart-shaped, octagonal ones). It may
result in malfunctions.
• Do not place more than one disc in the disc c ompartment.
• Do not try to open the disc c ompartment during playing.
• Do not t ouch the lens. Doing so may cause malfunction.
• If there is a scrat ch, dirt or ngerprints on the disc, it may cause tracking error. Befor e
playing, clea n the disc with a cleaning cloth. Wipe the disc from the center out. Don’t
store discs in places with high t empera tures or high humi dity , they can become
warped. Af ter playing , store the disc in its case.
Importan t Note
• Before tr ansporting the unit, remove the disc from the disc compartment.
SAFETY W ARNING!
• On no account should this unit be used by the dri ver of a moving motor vehicle, or left
unsecured in the vehicle whilst driving .
• If this unit is being used by a passenger in your vehicle, be sure that it is secured or
held safely , and does not obstruct any safety device (i.e. airbag, seat belt etc.) that is tted.
• All passengers should wear seat belts when using this unit in a moving vehicle.
• If in doubt, ple ase contac t your vehicle manufac turer f or fur ther advice.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
No power .
• Ensure th e AC ada ptor is connected.
• Make sure that the unit is turned o n.
The remote control doe s not func tion.
• Make sure t he infrared r emote sensor is not blocked.
• Point the remote directly at the infrared remote sensor on the unit.
• Replace t he batter y in the r emote wit h a new one.
V er y little or no sound is coming from a D VD.
• Make sure that the unit is turned O N.
• Make sure the unit is no t paused. Press .
• Make sure the u nit is not in fast-forward or fast-reverse mode. Press .
• Make sure that the connections ar e correct.
• Make sure the
MUTE
function is not on.
The player doe s not star t playback
• Insert the disc with the printed side facing front.
• Check that the disc can ac tually be played by this device.
• Che ck that the disc’s regional c ode matches the player ’s regional code. This player ’s
regional code is 2.
• Clean the disc.
The picture is not clear .
• The DVD is dirty . Gently clean the disc.
• The disc is scratched.
• Please adjust the LCD’s brightn ess and contrast in SETUP M ENU.

Navigating the setup menu
1. Press SETUP to display the setup main menu.
2. Press ◄, ► to select a menu icon.
3. Press ▲ , ▼ to select one of the available options under a menu icon.
4. Press ► to access the submenu and ▲ ,▼ to select an option.
5. Press ENTER to conrm your selection.
6. Press◄ to return to a previous menu.
7. Press SETUP to exit from the setup menu.

This unit can play MP3, DivX and Picture les recorded on CD-R/CD-RW discs, USB
ash drive and SD/MMC card.
1. Insert a disc.
2. The content of disc will be displayed on screen.
3. Press ◄, ►, ▲,▼ button to view and select the le that you want to play , then press
ENTER button to conrm the selected le and start playback.
4. Press button to stop playback.
Note: For playing les on USB ash drive or SD/MMC card, y ou should plug in the USB
