The new game boards
replace the base game
one. The large game
board shows Girdlegard,
the Doom track, and
provides spaces for the
evil troops. The small
game board shows the
Dwarven Council and
provides spaces for the
Scenario pile and 3
Adventure cards of the
base game, or the Saga
pile and the active Saga
cards of this expansion.
4 new gures:
1 Gandogar gure, 1 Council token, 1 Hero token, 1 Doom token
Gandogar is a new playable character. The busts replace the tokens
of the base game.

Travel to the Gateway to the Fifthling Kingdom
. Succeed at 1 Craft test 4+ there on
the same turn to place a Scenario token on
this card. Each Scenario token on this card
increases the following Craft tests by 1
(to 5+ and 6+ ). is quest is completed when
there are 3 Scenario tokens on this card.
Return 3 troops from the map and/or cards
to the supply. Alternatively, draw 1 Equipment
card and decide together which player may
keep it.
Black Water
Effect: You must roll 5+
to defeat Orcs in battle.
Quest: Once you defeat 1 or more
Orcs in battle, you may perform 1 Craft
test 6+ without spending an action.
If you succeed, the threat is averted.

space, not on Perished Land). e quest is completed
when there are 5 Ramparts on the map.
Rampart: When evil troops move onto a space with
a Rampart, you may immediately remove 1 of them.

this happens, remove the Rampart.

soon as there is 1 Scenario token at each
Gateway. e “Telegram” is not a piece
of Equipment.
Undiscovered Shortcut

there, you and another player may move
your dwarves to one space of your choice.

Mark completed tasks with a Scenario token.

has full Health
points.

is on the rightmost
space of the track.
