Important

Danger
- Do not immer se the motor unit in water or an y other liquid, nor rinse it under
the tap.
- Do not clean the motor unit in the dishwasher .
W arning
- Check if the voltage indicated on the base of the appliance corresponds to the
local mains voltage before y ou connect the appliance.
- Do not use the appliance if the plug, the mains cord or other components are
damaged.

If the mains cord is damaged, you m ust hav e it replaced by Philips, a ser vice centre
authorised by Philips or similar ly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.

This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensor y or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge,
unless they hav e been given super vision or instruction concer ning use of the
appliance by a person responsible for their safety .
- Children should be super vised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance .
- Never let the appliance operate unattended.
- If you detect cracks in the lter or if the lter is damaged in any way , do not use the
appliance anymore and contact the Philips Consumer care centre for replacement.
- Never reach into the feeding tube with y our ngers or an object while the
appliance is operating. Only use the pusher f or this purpose .
- Do not touch the small cutting blades in the base of the lter . They are v er y sharp.
Caution
- This appliance is intended for household use only .
- Do not hold the appliance by the locking clamps when y ou carr y it.
- Never use any accessories or par ts from other manufacturer s or that Philips
does not specically recommend. If you use such accessories or par ts, y our
guarantee becomes invalid.
- For a stable stand of the appliance, al ways keep the counter top and
the bottom of the appliance clean.
- Make sure all par ts are correctly assembled before y ou switch on the appliance .
- Only use the appliance when the locking clamps are in locked position.
- Only low er the locking clamps to unlocked position after you ha ve switched
off the appliance and the lter has stopped rotating.
- Always unplug the appliance after use.
This Philips appliance complies with all standards regarding electromagnetic elds (EMF).
Fruit and v egetable facts
Depending on the ingredients used, you can prepare up to 2 litres of juice without
emptying the integrated pulp container . When you juice hard ingredients such as
carrots or beetroots, the maxim um amount of juice that can be extr acted is up to
500ml (check the level indication on the juice jug).
Note: When the integrated pulp container has r eached its maximum capacity, pulp ends
up in the juice collector and the juice lid.
If you ov erll the integrated pulp container , the a ppliance becomes blocked.
When this occurs, switch off the appliance and r emove the pulp fr om
the integrated pulp container .
Recipes
Energy cocktail
Ingredients:
- 2 carrots
- ½ cucumber
- 12 spinach leav es
- 1 lime, peeled
- 1 celer y stick
- 1 apple
- 1 tomato
- 2 tbsp honey
1 Process all ingr edients in the juicer except for the honey .
2 When you ha ve nished pr ocessing the ingr edients, add honey to the juice and
mix well.

Use the berr y funnel to juice for example Gooseber r y , Red Bilberr y , Vib ur n um
berr ies, Sea buckthorn, Wild str a wberr y , Raspberr y , Blackberr y , Blackcurr ant
or Cranber r y .
Preparation

T o extract the maximum amount of juice , always press the pusher down slowl y .

Use fresh fruit and vegetables, as they contain more juice. Pineapples, beet
roots,
celer y stalks, apples, carrots, spinach, melons, tomatoes, pomegr anates,
oranges and
grapes are par ticular l y suitable for processing in the juicer .
- The juicer is not suitable for processing v er y hard and /or brous or starchy fruits
or vegetab les such as sugar cane .
- Leav es and leaf stalks of e.g. lettuce can also be processed in the juicer .
- Remov e stones from cherr ies, plums, peaches etc. Y ou do not hav e to remove
cores or seeds from fr uits lik e melons, apples and gr apes.

Y ou do not ha ve to remo ve thin peels or skins. Only remove thick peels that y ou
would not eat, e.g. those of oranges, pineapples, kiwis, melons and uncooked beetroots.
- When you prepare apple juice, take into consider ation that the thickness of the
apple juice depends on the type of apple you use. The juicier the apple, the thinner
the juice. Choose a kind of apple that produces the type of juice you pref er .
- If you want to process citrus fr uits with the juicer , remove the peel as well as the
white pith. The white pith gives the juice a bitter taste .
- Fr uits that contain starch, such as bananas, papay as, avocados, gs and mangoes
are not suitable for processing in the juicer . Use a food processor , blender or bar
blender to process these fruits.
Note: When the integrated pulp container has r eached its maximum capacity, pulp ends
up in the juice collector , lid and juice .
If you ov erll the integrated pulp container , the a ppliance becomes blocked.
