8.2 Operating the soldering iron (fig.5)
▪ Always hold the soldering iron pen as shown. Apply solder with the tip of the pen.
▪ Apply soldering wire only to the tip of the tool at the point where it touches the workpiece
▪ After soldering, return the pen to the pen holder. Press firmly to make sure it is secure.
▪ Press the on/off switch to turn the soldering iron off.
▪ Always allow 30 minutes for the soldering iron to cool before storing the tool.
Warning: always place the pen back into the holder so that the tip does not
come in contact with anything while it is heating or when not in use.
Following this rule will reduce the risk of damage to items, burns, fire or
serious personal injury.
9 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
9.1 Replacing soldering tips (fig.6)
Warning: always allow the soldering tip to cool for a minimum of 30 minutes
before removing the tip. Touching a hot soldering tip can result in serious
personal injury.
▪ Remove the battery pack (11) from the tool
▪ Loosen the nut (7) by turning counterclockwise and remove from tip.
▪ Remove the sleeve (8) by sliding off the pen (2).
▪ Pull to remove the tip (9) and insert a replacement tip. Push the new tip onto the ceramic
heating element (10).
▪ Hold the body of the pen and slide the sleeve (8) over the new tip.
▪ Reinstall the nut (7).
9.2 Maintenance
▪ Our machines have been designed to operate over a long period of time with a minimum
of maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation depends upon proper machine care
and regular cleaning.
▪ In order to maintain battery capacity, we recommend the battery to be completely
discharged every one month and fully recharged again .Only store with a fully charged
battery and top-up the charge from time to time if stored for a long time. Store in a dry and
frost-free place, the ambient temperature should not exceed 40°C.
