▪ Fasten the side handle for right-hand operation on the left-hand side of the machine.
7.2 Assembly the protective guard (Fig. 2 & 3)
1. Loosen the clip of the protective guard (8) by pulling lock lever of protective guard (1)
outward.
2. Turn the protective guard so that uncovered part of the disc is as far apart as possible from
the hand on main handle (4).
3. Fix the protection guard by pushing the lock lever inwards (the protective guard should no
longer be able to move).
NOTE: If the protective guard can not be fixed firmly by the lock lever (1), use a hexagon
wrench to tighten the hexagon nut. (See attached figure 3)
7.3 Replacing the grinding disc (Fig. 4 & 5)
Beware – a disc which has been used may be very hot!
▪ Pull out the power plug from the mains socket.
▪ Depress and hold down the spindle lock button (2) to secure the spindle.
▪ Turn the shaft until it locks.
▪ Mount the inner flange (3) with the slotted side onto the spindle .
▪ Fit the disc (2) on the inner flange and screw the outer flange onto the spindle with the flat
side towards the disc.
▪ To tighten the outer flange (1), press the spindle lock (4) firmly so that the spindle cannot
revolve.
▪ Then use the pin spanner (5) and securely tighten clockwise.
▪ To remove the disc, follow the installation procedure in reverse
Important! Only ever press the spindle lock when the motor and grinding
spindle are at a standstill!
7.4 Special attention when starting the machine
▪ Clamp the workpiece and make sure that the workpiece cannot slide from under the
machine during the cutting activities.
▪ When working with the machine, always hold it firmly with both hands and provide for a
secure stance.
▪ Always direct the cable to the rear away from the machine.
▪ Insert the mains plug only when the machine is switched off.
▪ Apply the machine to the workpiece only when switched on
Never use the machine for grinding magnesium workpieces.
