“BOIL “ Program
This program is recommended for c ooking vegetables and legumes. Default
time is 40 minutes. Manual time settings range from 5 minutes to 2 hours with
5 minute intervals. The c ountdown of the program begins only when the de vice
reaches its operating temperature.
“O A TMEAL “ Program
This program is recommended for c ooking baby food and hot c ereal, us ing milk.
Default time is 25 minutes. Manual time settings range from 5 minutes to 1
hour and 30 minutes with 1 minute intervals.
T o avoid boiling away , when cooking various oat porridges using pasteur ized
low fat milk, we rec ommend you to do the following:
• rinse grain thoroughly before c ooking;
• grease the sides of the bowl with butter;
• follow the proportions suggested in the recipe book. Increase or reduce
amount of ingredients proportionally;
• using whole milk dilute it b y half with water;
Cooking results may vary depending on the manufacturer and the place o f
origin of the products used.
“STEW“ Program
This program is recommended for ste wing vegetables, sh, meat , and seafood.
Default time is 60 minutes. Manual time settings range from 20 minutes to 12
hours with 10 minute intervals.
“BAKE“ P rogram
This program is recommended for baking cak es, pies, puddings, yeast, and puff
pastry . Default time is 50 minutes. Manual time settings range from 20 minut es
to 4 hours with 10 minute intervals.
“FR Y “ P rogram
This program is recommended for frying meat , vegetables, sh, poultry , and
seafood. Default time is 15 minutes. Manual time settings range from 5 minutes
to 1 hour with 1 minute intervals. Preset function is not avail able in this program.
“YOGUR T“ Program
This program is recommended for making healthy and delicious home made
yogurts and proong dough. Default time is 8 hours. Manual time settings range
from 30 minutes to 12 hours with 30 minute intervals. K eep Warm function is
not available in this program.
Use yogurt jar set REDMOND R AM-G1 to prepare yogurts (to be purchased
separately).

RAM-CL1 – the tongs are used for safe and conv enient removal of the bowl out
of the unit. The tongs are non-slip and do not scratch the c oat ing.
RHP-M01 – ham press. The device allows making homemade delicacies out of
meat, sh, poultry , and seafood with various llings and seasonings.
RAM-G1 – the set of 4 yogurt jars with date-dials.
RB-A503 – 5-L bowl with a non-stick coating by D AIKIN® (Japan). High quality
non-stick c oating allows using minimum amount of cooking oil and retaining
natural avor of foods.
RB-C502 – bowl with a ceramic coating b y ANA T O® (Korea). Compared to tra-
ditional non-stick c oatings, c eramic features better scratch resistant properties.

Them
This chapter familiarizes you with the practical tips and solutions t o some
common problems you may experience when using the multic ooker.
THE DISH IS UNDERC OOKED
Possible Causes Solving the Problem
The lid of the device was either
open or was not closed properly .
T ry to avoid opening the lid while c ooking.
Close the lid until it clicks into place. Make sure that
the rubber sealing ring located on the inner side of the
lid is not deformed or damaged in any way .
Cooking temperature was not ob-
served because the bowl and the
heating element did not t tightly .
There should not be any foreign objects betw een the
lid and the housing of the device, remove if any .
Always make sure that the heating element is clean
and ts tightly with the bowl before c ooking.
Wrong ingredients or settings were
chosen.
General proportions were not ob-
served, the size of the ingredients was
too large.
Wrong time settings.
Chosen recipe is not appropriate for
the device.
We rec ommend using recipes adapted for the device.
Choose proven recipes only .
Set the time and cooking program, choose ingredients,
proportions, and their siz e according to the recipe.
Steaming: the amount of water in
the bowl is too little to provide
enough steam.
Use the amount of water recommended. If in doubt,
check the water le vel while steaming.
Frying:
T oo much oil
was added.
Frying ingredients add an amount of oil enough just to
cover the bottom o f the bow l.
Follow rec ommendations given in the recipe while deep
frying.
T oo much mois-
ture inside the
bowl.
Do not close the lid of the device while frying unless
specied in the recipe. Using froz en ingredients defrost
and drain before frying.
Cooking: the broth boiled away dur-
ing preparation of foods with high
acidity .
Certain products need to be processed bef ore cooking:
washed, browned, et c. Follow re commendations given
in the recipe.

We rec ommend using the “Warmhalten” function moderately . If
your device f eatures the function of disabling the “Warmhalten”
in advance, use it to avoid the problem.
LIQUID BOILS AWA Y DURING COOKING
Milk boils away .
Depending on the quality of milk used, it may boil away. T o avoid
this , we recomm end us ing o nly ultra-pasteurized milk with the fat
content of 2.5% or less. Dilute milk with water if ne eded.

The bowl was not properly washed af ter
last use.
Non-stick coating is damaged.
Make sure that the bowl is clean and has no coat-
ing defects before cooking.
General amount of ingredients is smaller
than recommended.
Use proven recipes, adapted for the devic e.
Cooking time was too long.
Reduc e the cooking time or follow recommenda-
tions given in the recipe adapted for y our model.
Frying: oil was not added; the ingredients
have not been stirred or turned over .
Frying products add amount of oil enough just
to cover the bott om of the bowl. Stir ingredients
thoroughly while frying or turn over as re quired.
Stewing: not enough liquid.
Add more liquid. Avoid opening the lid while
stewing.
Cooking: not enough liquid (proportions
were not observed).
Follow rec ommended ratio of liquids to solids
while cooking.
Baking: the bowl was not greased before
baking.
Grease the bottom and sides of the bowl with
butter or oil before baking (do not pour oil inside).
INGREDIENTS L OOSE THEIR SHAPE WHEN COOKED
Ingredients have
been over stirred.
Frying foods, do not stir the ingredients more often than every 5-7
minutes.
Cooking time was
too long.

BAKED GOODS ARE O VERL Y MOIST
Improper ingredients causing exc ess
moisture have been used (juicy fruits
or vegetables, frozen berries, sour

Use ingredients according to the re cipe. T ry to avoid
using ingredients causing exc ess moisture or use
them in smaller amounts.
Baked product has been left in the
unit with the lid closed for too long.
We rec ommend taking baked product out of the unit
right after the baking cycle nishes or leaving it on
the Keep Warm for a short period of time only .
