In this display you can select any of the following curve types:

Linear: linear curve

EXP1: exponential curve (curve 1)

EXP2: exponential curve (curve 2)

VTR: curve for 3-D aerobatics

LINE: straight 9-point (2- … 17-point) curve

Curve: 9-point curve (2- … 17-point) curve with turn points

The settings can be defined separately for the right side (RATE

A) and for the left side (RATE B) of the curve: mark the appro-

priate field and use the arrow buttons to alter the value in it.

The adjustment range is -200% to +200%; the default setting

is +100%. Pressing the ‘Reset’ field restores the default set-

ting.

The curve can be shifted both vertically (OFFSET) and also to

left or right (X-OFFSET). This is achieved by marking the cor-

responding field and entering an offset value using the arrow

buttons. Positive values move the curve up or to the right;

negative values down or to the left. Each change in the curve

is immediately displayed on-screen in graphic form, so you

can always see the net effect of the curve programming you

carry out.

The same procedure is employed for setting up the two availa-

ble exponential

curves. The illus-

trations show

typical examples

of these curve

types. The EXP

function affects

the characteris-

tics of the sticks:

generally provi-

of the model.

As an additional feature, the fields ‘Rate A and B’ can be mar-

ked to adjust the transmitter control travel separately for each

side of centre.

If you select a

VTR curve, addi-

tional set-up

levels become

available. The

values are entered

individually for the

right and left sides

(RATE A and B),

and the curve can be shifted vertically using ‘OFFSET’. The

VTR curve points also have to be set as ‘P.POS’ and as

‘P.RATE’ for each side (A and B). In this case the adjustment

range is +0% to +100%; the default is +50%. Pressing the

‘Reset’ field re-activates the default setting.

‘Curve’ you have

to define curve

points. The two

show parts of the

display as typical

examples of these

curves. The hori-

zontal double

arrow buttons

allow you to scroll

backwards from

one point and for-

wards to the next.

The buttons with a single arrow are used to generate new

points, starting from an existing point. The active point (the

one you can change) is always marked in colour.

To carry out a change to any of these points, mark the field

which contains the appropriate curve point. Use the arrow but-

tons to select the point which is to be changed. Once the des-

ired point has been activated, the percentage value is dis-

played in the ‘Rate’ field.

Nine different points are available by default, but for special

applications the number of points can be varied between two

and seventeen.

This is the procedure for erasing a point: mark the display field

(Rate), select the point to be erased using the horizontal dou-

ble arrow buttons, and mark the ‘Erase’ field. The point is initi-

ally displayed as a square, and this disappears completely

when you select the adjacent point.

It is also possible to shift these two curve types vertically using

‘Offset’; the method is exactly as described previously.
