Setting the coarseness and time
The appliance features an electronically controlled grinding time. The grinding period can be individually
set in 7 levels. Depending on the setting, the appliance runs between 5 seconds (detent 7 – coarse) and 40
seconds (detent 1 – fine). Please observe that the grinding time is designed for the max. quantity of 40 g
of beans. If a lower quantity is used, another setting has to be chosen. Try it yourself until you have found
your individual coarseness setting by means of the setting possibilities.

detent 5 - 7: coarse powder
Switching the appliance on and off
• Connecttheappliancetothemains.Cordwhichisnotneededcanbe
stored in the cord storage on the underside of the appliance.
• BypressingtheON/OFFswitch,thetime-controlledgrindingprocessis
started.
• Thepilotlampglows.
•Afterthesettimehasbeenreached,theapplianceswitchesoffautomatically.
• Now,youcanreleasetheON/OFFswitchandthepilotlampgoesout.Thegrindingprocesscanbe
interrupted any time by releasing the ON/OFF switch.
• Alwaysunplugtheapplianceafterthegrindingprocess.
IMPORTANT: The ON/OFF switch must always be pressed during the
grinding process as otherwise, the appliance will stop and the grinding
process will be interrupted.
Cleaning and maintenance
Attention: Always unplug the appliance before cleaning!
Never immerse the appliance and the mains plug in water or clean them under running
water!
Attention, hazard of injury: Do not touch the 2-winged blade! Handle the blade with care
toavoidinjuries!
For ensuring a constant grinding quality, we recommend cleaning the coffee grinder regularly after each
use.
• Carefullyremovepowderresiduesofthebeanstank.Werecommendusinganormalpastrybrush.
• Cleanthebeanstankandthebladewithadamptissueandwipethemdry.
• Cleanthecoverofthebeanstankinhotwaterwithsomedishwashingdetergent.Beforethenextuse,
the cover must be completely dry.
• Cleantheunitwithadamptissueandwipeitdry.
• Donotuseanyabrasivesorsolvents!
• Neveruseasteamjetapplianceforcleaning!
