10. Storage

Store the device and its accessories in a dark, dry and

frost-proof place that is inaccessible to children. The

optimum storage temperature is between 5 and 30˚C.

Store the electrical tool in its original packaging.

11. Electrical connection

Connection and repair work on the electrical equip-

ment must be carried out by a qualied technician

only.

The installed electric motor is factory connected rea-

dy for operation.

The connection made by the customer as well as any

extension cables used must comply with all relevant

regula tions.

Importand note

Defective electrical connection cables

If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by

the manufacturer, its customer service or a similarly

qualied person to avoid hazards.

Electrical connection cables often suffer isolation da-

mage.

Possible causes are:

• Pinch points when connection cables are run

throught window or door gabs.

• Kinks resulting from incorrect attachment of laying

of the connection cable.

• Cuts resulting from running over the connection

cable.

• Isolation damage resulting from forcefully pulling

out of the wall socket.

Such defective electrical connection cables must not

be used as the isolation damage makes them extrem-

ly hazardous.

Check electrical connection cables regularly for da-

mage. Make sure the cable is disconnected from the

mains when checking.

Electrical connection cables must comply with the re-

gulations applicable in your country.

One phase motor

• The mains voltage must comply with the specica-

tion on the motor name plate.

• Extension cables must have a cross section of at

least 1.0 sqmm.

• The mains is protected by a 16 A slowblow fuse.

When making inquiries please specify the fol-

lowing:

• Motor manufacturer

• Motor current type

• Motor nameplate specications

• Switch nameplate specications

When sending the motor in, always send the comple-

te drive unit including the switch.

• Slide the clamp through the tabs on the lter bag

and x the lter bag on the container. Fig. 7

• Position the support bar into the housing and hang

the lter bag from it. Fig. 1

• Attach the shavings bag to the lower air ventilator

using the clamp. Fig. 7

• Attach the exhaust hose to the nozzle on the

housing and afx it with a hose clamp. Fig. 8

• Attach the hose coupling to the other end of the

hose using a hose clamp. Fig. 9

The exhaust system should be cleaned every time

the shavings bag is changed.

Damaged lters and bags must be immediately chan-

ged in order to keep the amount of dust that escapes

into the work environment as low as possible.

8. Initial operation

Note safety instructions before operation. The data

on the motor type plate (voltage and frequency) must

conform to the mains supply voltage and frequency.

After connection to the mains, the Dust Extractor is

ready for operation.

Switching off/on in automatic mode (Fig.10)

The ON/OFF switch (17) has three settings:

1. Switch position 0 : Off

2. Switch position = : On

3. Switch position AUTO: Automatic mode (The ext-

ractor system is switched on/off via an electric tool).

• Connect the power cable of your electric tool to the

automatic socket-outlet.

• Connect the extractor hose to the dust extractor

connection of your electric tool. Check that the con-

nection is secure and air-tight.

• Set the switch on the extractor system to the posi-

tion “AUTO” = Automatic mode.

9. Maintenance

For all maintenance and cleaning tasks, tum off motor

and unplug mains.

• Connection and repair work on the electrical instal-

lation may be carried out by a qualied electrician

only.

• For constant performance, periodi cally shake out

lter bag vigorously. Between cleanings, beating

the bag with the hand several times is sufcient.

• The sawdust bag must be replaced a1 the latest

when the sawdust is within 10 cm. of the housing

collar.
