The machine may only be operated by per-

sons who are trained, instructed and author-

ised to do so. These persons must be familiar

with the operating manual and act accord-

ingly. The respective responsibilities of the

operating personnel must be clearly defined.

Operating personnel who are in training may

initially only work on the machine under the

supervision of an experienced person. The

completed and successful instruction should

be confirmed in writing.

The machine may only

be operated by a person

Keeping information available

This operating manual must be stored with

the machine. It must be assured that all

persons assigned to carry out tasks on the

machine can refer to the operating manual at

all times.

All safety notice signs and operating notice

signs on the machine must always be kept in

good, legible condition. Damaged or illegible

signs must be replaced immediately.

Operator's duty of care

The machine was designed and built in

consideration of a risk analysis and after

careful selection of the harmonised stand-

ards to be observed as well as additional

technical specifications. As a result, it corre-

sponds to the state of the art and guarantees

the highest measure of safety.

Moreover, the operator must ensure for the

safe operation that:

• the machine is only used as intended (cf.

the chapter "Intended use")

• the machine is only operated in fault-free,

properly functioning condition and espe-

cially that the safety equipment is in-

spected regularly for functionality

• required personal protective equipment

for the operating, maintenance and ser-

vice personnel is available and is used

• the operating manual is always kept in

legible condition and in its complete

form at the location in which the ma-

chine is used

• only sufficiently qualified and authorised

personnel operate, maintain and service

the machine

• said personnel is regularly instructed in

all application issues of work safety and

environmental protection, as well as the

operating manual and in particular the

safety instructions contained therein

• all safety and warning notices affixed on

the machine are not removed and re-

main legible.

Modifications on the machine

For safety reasons, no arbitrary modifica-

tions may be made - this also applies for

welding work on bearing components. All

planned modifications must be approved in

writing by the company scheppach.

Only use original spare parts / original war

parts / original accessory parts - these parts

are specially designed for the machine. In the

case of parts acquired from third parties, it

cannot be guaranteed that they are designed

and produced to meet the requisite demands

and safety.

We do not approve parts and special equip-

ment which we have not supplied for use on

the machine.

Environmental protection

For all work on and with the machine, the

regulations for waste prevention and for
