■ The SLEEP mode is a combination of the NA TUR AL mode (natural breeze) and
agradual lowering of the fan speed.
Fan setting Progression of the SLEEP mode
High speed The applianc e will run for 30 minutes in the
NA TURAL mode with the high fan speed set.
After 30 minutes, the high fan speed switches to
medium speed. After an additional 30 minutes,
it will switch to the low fan speed setting. The
appliance will remain in the NA TUR AL mode with
the low fan speed set.
Medium speed The appliance will run for 30 minutes in the
NA TURAL mode with the medium fan speed set.
After 30 minutes, the medium fan speed switches
to low speed. The appliance will remain in the
NA TURAL mode with the low fan speed set.
Low speed The appliance will run in the NA TURAL mode with
the low fan speed set.
Wa ter filter dryer function
■ This function serves exclusively for the purpose of drying out the water filter A10 .
If you intend to store and not use the appliance f or an extended period of time, it is
necessary to carefully dry out the water filter A10 and other parts to protect them
again the formation of mould.
■ Hold down button B2 for appro x. 3 seconds to activate the dryer function. The
fan speed automatically changes to high speed and will run for 20 minutes. During
this time, it is not possible to change the settings of the appliance. Only button
B1 will remain functional. After 20 minutes have elapsed, the applianc e will
automatically switch to the stand-by mode.
Note:
If the appliance is turned off with button B1 during the dr ying out
process, and then is turned on again, the appliance will start at the setting
that was set prior to the dryer function being set.
Setting automatic vertical flap motion
■ Button B6 serves to turn the automatic v ertical flap motion on and off. Indicator
light B11 is lit to indica te that motion is activated. Press button B6 again to stop
the vertical motion of the flaps.
Setting the angle of the horizontal flaps
■ The angle of the horizontal flaps A2 can be set manually by tilting them up or down.
When handling them, be careful not to damage them.
Automatic shut-off function
■ The appliance is equipped with an automatic shut-off function after 15 hours of
non-stop operation. This means that after 15 hours of operation, during which no
control button is pressed, the applianc e will turn off automatically.
■ If you wish to cancel this function, hold down button B6 for appro ximately
3 seconds. The appliance will beep and the automatic shut-off function will be
cancelled. If you wish to activate this function again, hold down button B6 for
approximately 3 seconds . The appliance will beep and the function will again be
activated.
Pow er-saving mode
■ The display will dim out after 1 minute of inactivity. This is normal. Pressing an y
button will turn the display on again.
REMOTE C ONTROL
■ The function of the buttons on the remote control A15 and the contr ol panel A2 are
the same. If you wish to use the remote contr ol A15 , point it at the level of the signal
receiver A1 on the control panel A2 . The maximum range of the signal transmitted
from the remote control A15 is 6 m.
Note:
If there are obstacles located between the remote con trol A15 and the
appliance, the signal may not be transmitted .
FILLING THE W A TER T ANK
■ Before filling the water tank A12 , turn the appliance off , disconnect it from the
power socket and secure the appliance against moving .
■ Release the lock A13 by turning it to the horizontal position – see figure E1 .
■ T ake out the water tank A12 and fill it with clean cold water – see figure E2 .
■ Insert the water tank A12 back into the appliance and turn the lock A13 to the
vertical position to secure the water tank A12 inside the appliance.
■ Always fill the appliance with clean cold wat er. T o prevent undesirable bacteria,
micro-organisms or moulds from multiplying, do not leave water in it f or more than
aday .
Warning:
When filling the appliance, make sure that the wa ter level reaches
at least the minimum water level mark and also that it does no go
past the maximum mark.
Note:
When the appliance is used for the first time, you ma y register a slight
odour or discolouration of the water in the wat er tank A12 . This is
a normal event that will disappear with use and which has no negative
effects on your health.
USING THE COOLING INSERTS
■ The cooling inserts A16 enable the temperature of the water in the water tank t o be
reduced, which results in cooler air and fast er cooling of the room.
■ Insert the cooling inser ts A16 into afreezer for at least 12 hours. Then insert them
into the part of the water tank A12 that is marked with acooling insert symbol. Fill
the water tank A12 with water and insert the cooling insert A12 into the body of
the appliance.
■ The appliance is supplied with two cooling inserts A16 , which ensures continuous
operation. Y ou can use either one or both, as required.
Warning:
It is forbidden to open the lock of the cooling insert A16 or to
damage its external case in any way . The cont ents of the cooling
insert A16 is damaging to health. In the event of swallowing,
immediately seek medical help.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
■ Disconnect the power plug from the power socket bef ore cleaning.
■ For cleaning, do not use cleaning pr oducts with an abrasive effect, solvents, etc. that
could damage the appliance.
Warning:
T o prevent the risk of injury by electrical shock, do not submerge
the appliance, power cor d or power plug in water or any another
liquid.
CLEANING THE W A TER T ANK
■ When you have finished using the wat er tank A12 , empty it out and rinse it with
clean water .
■ T o remove limescale deposits and to prev ent undesirable bacteria, micro-organism
or moulds from multiplying inside the water tank A12 , clean it out at least once
per month using acloth dampened in lukewarm water with the addition of neutral
detergent. Then rinse it out thoroughly using clean water , dry it out using a clean
cloth.
CLEANING THE DUST AND W A TER FIL TER
■ Dirt and soils may accumulate on the dust filter A9 and water filter A10 during use,
which may negatively affect the operation of the appliance . W e recommend that
these filters are regularly cleaned at least 1x per month. The frequency with which
the appliance is cleaned depends on its use. If it becomes excessiv ely soiled, the
effectiveness of the appliance may be reduced .
1. Disconnect the power plug from the power socket.
2. Press the safety clip at the top of the dust filter A9 and tilt it out of the appliance
together with the water filter A10 – see figure F1 .
3. Carefully take out both filters – see figure F2 .
4. T ake the water filter A10 out of the dust filter A9 .
5. Wipe the dust filter A9 with asoft sponge lightly dipped in warm water with asmall
amount of neutral cleaning agent.
6. Soak the water filter A10 in warm water with a small amount of neutral cleaning
agent. Then carefully wring it out in your hands and install it back into the dust filter
A9.
7. Insert both filters back into the appliance and turn on the dryer function (see
instructions in section "Water filter dryer function").
CLEANING THE OUTER CASE
■ T o clean the outer case, use atextile lightly dampened in lukewarm water with an
addition of neutral detergent.
Storage
■ When not using the appliance for an extended period of time, disconnect the power
plug from the power socket and clean it accor ding to the instructions in chapter
"Cleaning and maintenance" .
■ Before storing it, check that the appliance and all its accessories ar e thoroughly
clean and dry.
■ Remove the battery from the remote control A14 .
■ Store the appliance in a dry , clean and well-ventilated location not exposed to
extreme temperatures and out of children'sr each.
