ABOUT MEMORY:
DIFFERENT MEMORIES :
Before w e talk about using the memory, we have to know t he d ifference between “ track m emory” a nd
“permanent memory”:
Track Memory : T his is the m emory where the DM C1 000 stores a set of up to four cue points and/or
loops for one track . Y ou can set up a “track mem ory” for ever y single track on a C D or US B-drive .
Exam ple: your CD contains 16 tracks
for every track you can store up t o 4 cue points and/or loops.
This makes a total of 16 x 4 = 64 cue points and/or loops on one CD! A lso on a USB- hard disk you can
store 4 cue points and loop s for as many tracks as you like.
Perm anent Memory: T his is the large mem ory where all the cue points a nd loops are permanently
stored. In fact it’s an indexed collection o f “ track memories”. W hen y ou recall p reviously st ored cue
points of a certain track, you make a transfer from “permanent mem ory” to “track mem ory”.
