Do not place the jugs on or near an electric or gas stove, in an oven or in a microwave
oven.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE
When you use your appliance for the first time we recommend in order to wash the inner side
of the appliance circuit, you have to operate it three times as described in the section "HOW
TO PREPARE AN ESPRESSO" and 3 times as indicated in the “HOW TO PREPARE FILTER COFFEE”
section (WITHOUT COFFEE IN THE FILTER HOLDER in both cases).
SETTING THE CLOCK
1. Plug in your coffee maker. The time "12:00" will be displayed on the electronic digital clock.
2. To set the current time, press the PROG button once and „CLOCK‟ will be displayed. Then
press the H button to set the hours, and the MIN button to change the minutes.
3. Every time you press one of those buttons, the hour or minutes will increase by 1 unit but if
you hold the buttons, the time will roll forward more quickly.
HOW TO PREPARE FILTER COFFEE
1. Insert the plug in the power supply.
2. Open the cap of the water tank and fill it with cold water, do not exceed MAX level
indicated inside the water tank.
3. Remove the coffee jug from the hotplate and pull the filter holder out.
4. Fill the permanent filter or a paper filter with the desired quantity of coffee (about one
measuring spoon per cup).
5. Put the filter holder back into place and the coffee jug back on the hot plate.
6. Press the 0/I switch, the red pilot light (A) will come on indicating the coffee maker is
working and the coffee will start flowing after a few seconds.
7. The hot plate allows keeping the coffee hot for about 2 hours but after this delay, your
appliance will automatically cut out.
8. You can switch off your appliance anytime simply by pressing twice the 0/I switch (C).
NOTE: If you have to remove the jug from the hotplate during preparation of coffee, make sure
it does not last more than 30 seconds, otherwise the coffee will start flowing again.
PROGRAMMING THE COFFEE MAKER (to prepare filter coffee only)
Your coffee maker has a 24 hours timing, but the programmed clock remains in the memory as
long as you do not modify it.
1. Check the time displayed on the clock.
2. Proceed as indicated in the “HOW TO PREPARE FILTER COFFEE” section (step 2 to 5).
3. Press the PROG button twice successively. The time "12:00" and „TIMER" will be displayed on
the electronic digital clock.
4. Set the desired programming time doing the same as described for the setting of the
clock.
5. Once the setting is finished, wait about 10 seconds and “TIMER” will disappear or press
once the PROG button. In both cases the programming time will disappear and will be
replaced by the time of the clock.
6. Then press the 0/I switch twice successively and the yellow programming function pilot
light (I) will come on. The coffee machine is ready to start at the set time.
