width x 210 mm height). When folding, make sure you

keep the good numbering when you turn the pages of

avoid all danger. In any case you should return the appliance to this electrician.

UK STYLE PLUG WIRING INSTRUCTIONS (IN THE UK ONLY)

This product must only be used from a 13 amp power socket. If a BS1363 approved 13 amp

plug is used, it should be fitted with a 13 amp fuse. The wires on the power cord are colour

coded:

blue = neutral, brown = live, green or green & yellow = earth.

The blue wire must be connected to the terminal marked N or coloured in black.

The brown wire must be connected to the terminal marked L or coloured in red.

The green (& yellow) wire must be connected to the terminal marked E or coloured in green (&

yellow).

BEFORE USE

 When the fryer is new, the force of the lid spring is quite strong. After the fryer has been

used 10-15 times the spring force will reduce. This is quite normal.

 Remove all packaging from the unit. Open the fryer by pressing the button under the

handle area.

 Before you use the deep fat fryer for the first time, we recommend that you wash the lid,

bowl, basket, handle and jacket of the deep fat fryer in warm soapy water with a soft

cloth. This will get rid of any residue left from the manufacture of this unit. See section „

Cleaning‟.

DISMANTLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER

 Open the lid by pressing the button under the handle. To remove the lid, push the lid

gently backwards to the vertical position and lift upwards.

 Raise the handle and remove the basket.

ASSEMBLING THE DEEP FAT FRYER

 Place the jacket on a dry level surface.

 Place the handle into the slot on the front of the fryer. Pull the button on the handle and

this will allow you to lower the basket completely into the bowl.

 Hold the lid vertically and place the wire spring into the slot at the back of the fryer. Close

the lid.

 Wind any excess cable into the cord storage area on the back of the unit.

USING FOR THE FIRST TIME

 Add the required amount of oil to the bowl, ensuring that this level is between the min and

max levels.

 We recommend that you use a liquid oil which is suitable for deep fat frying. Check the

label on the bottle. If you wish to use a solid fat - plug in the deep fat fryer to the power

supply, switch it on and set the temperature control to the lowest setting and slowly add

the fat in small pieces. When the fat has melted, set the temperature control to the

desired temperature. Warning : failure to observe this will damage your deep fat fryer.

 Plug in the deep fat fryer to the power supply.
