Introduction

Your deep fryer features a cool-wall body. A lter in the lid

absorbs cooking vapours and smells.

Please read all the instructions before using the appliance.

Read all the safety notes carefully. If you pass the fryer on to a

third party, include these instructions.

Unpacking

In the box you should nd:

• The deep fryer

• Frying basket

• Basket handle

Unpack the fryer components and remove any packaging from

inside the fryer.

If any items are missing or damaged, contact your nearest Tesco

store for assistance. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it

do so in accordance with any recycling regulations in your area.

Preparation

First use

Before using your fryer for the rst time, follow the instructions

in the Cleaning section to clean all components and allow them

to dry.

Assemble the fryer basket

Place the basket on a worktop or other rm surface.

Place the basket in the fryer

The basket has two positions

Raised position

The basket is hooked over the oil pan at the front of the fryer.

This position is for lling the basket, draining oil and examining

the food.

Lowered position

This is used for frying and preheating the oil.

Place the basket inside the fryer in the lowered position as

shown.

Ensure the basket is fully inside the fryer pan with the slot in the

fryer body between the wires of the handle so that the lid can

be closed securely.

Positioning the Fryer

• Locate the deep fryer on a rm, at, heat-resistant work

surface. Steam given o by the cooking process may mark

or damage anything above or around the fryer, ensure

these areas are kept clear.

• In order to avoid possible re hazards Keep areas above

and around the fryer clear. Leave a clear space all round

the fryer, and keep it as far back from the front edge of the

work surface as possible.

• Do not put the fryer or the mains lead close to any other

cooking or heating appliance.

• Place the fryer close to a switched wall socket. Do NOT use

mains extensions.
