Congratulations on your purchase of this high-quality product. Read these instructions

carefully, so that you can make the best use of this Steam Iron, these instructions give

you all the necessary directions and advice for using, cleaning and maintaining the

appliance. If you follow these instructions, you will always get the best result from the

appliance. You will also save time and avoid any problems.

We hope that you will enjoy using this Steam Iron.

IMPORTANT

y Ensure the voltage on the type plate is the same as that in your home.

y The iron should always be off before plugging or unplugging from the wall socket.

y Never yank the cord to disconnect from the wall socket; instead, grasp plug and pull

to disconnect.

y Do not use the appliance with wet hands, on a damp floor or when the appliance

itself is wet.

y Do not touch the plug with wet or damp hands.

y Do not use the appliance if it is dropped or otherwise damaged or if the cable or

plug are damaged. In the case of damage, take the appliance to an electrical repair

shop for examination and repair if necessary.

y Never attempt to repair the appliance yourself. This could cause an electric shock.

y If an extension cord is used it must be suited to the power consumption of the

appliance, otherwise overheating of the extension cord and/or plug may occur.

y When leaving, even when only for a short while, always unplug the iron.

y Do not leave the iron unattended while connected or on ironing board.

y Burns can occur from touching hot metal parts, hot water or steam.

y Use caution when you turn a steam iron upside down, there may be hot water in the

reservoir.

y Never immerse the iron in water.

y Always place the iron with its back on a firm flat surface when interrupting ironing

and after use.

y Keep the soleplate smooth. Avoid hard contact with a metal object.

y The cord should not be allowed to touch the soleplate when it is hot.

y Prevent water overflow. Do not over max level.

y When using the iron for the first time put it on an old piece of fabric to ensure the

soleplate and water tank are completely clean.

y If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service

agent or similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.

y This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced

physical, sensory, or mental capacities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless

they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a

person responsible for their safety.

y Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

y Remove the plug from the socket before filling or emptying water reservoir.

y The filling aperture must not be opened during use.

y The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface.

y The iron shall be used on a stable ironing board.

y When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is

placed is stable.

y Remove the plug from the socket before filling or emptying water reservoir.

y The iron must not be left unattended while it is connected to the supply mains.

y Please do not touch surface while in use. The accessible surface may get hot when

the appliance is operating.

y The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by

means of a separate system with remote control.

y This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

y staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

y farm houses;

y by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
