1. Introduction

Important environmental information about this product

This symbol on the device or the package indicates that disposal of the device after its lifecycle could

harm the environment. Do not dispose of the unit (or batteries) as unsorted municipal waste; it should

be taken to a specialized company for recycling. This device should be returned to your distributor or to

a local recycling service. Respect the local environmental rules.

the device was damaged in transit, do not install or use it and contact your dealer.

2. Safety Instructions

Always carefully follow these safety instructions and, if applicable, additional safety instructions when using this

device.

 This device may only be used for cooling and heating indoor rooms as described in this user manual. Any

other use is not allowed. Incorrect use, handling and ignoring these safety instructions leading to damage

will void the warranty.

 Velleman nv cannot be held responsible for damage caused by frost in an indoor space due to insufficient

heating capacity of the device, insufficient isolation of the room, incorrect use of the device or a case of

force majeure (e.g. power failure).

 Only connect this device to the alternating current specified in this user manual.

 Never touch a life parts. Danger to life.

 Never touch the device with damp or wet hands. Danger to life.

 Never use the device if the power cable or the device itself is visibly damaged. Risk of injury.

 Immediately disconnect the device from the mains and contact your dealer if the device is damaged to the

point that internal parts become unprotected.

 Do not use or store flammable objects, liquids or sprays near the device. Danger of fire!

 Do not use the device in a flammable environment (e.g. near flammable gases or aerosols). Explosion or

fire hazard!

 Caution! Do not insert objects in the any openings of the device. Risk of injury (electric shock) and damage

to the device.

 Prolonged use of the device may cause the grid to become very hot. We therefore advise to install the

device out of the reach of persons and animals. Risk of burns.

 Do not cover the device with clothing, towels or any other cloth, fabric or plastic. Overheating and fire

hazard.

 This device is not intended to be connected to a permanent electric wiring.

 Children and persons under the influence of drugs or alcohol may only use this device if they are being

supervised. Do not allow children to play with electrical devices.

 Make sure that the power plug is always accessible when using the device.

 The device is suitable for use in animal shelters.

 This user manual is part of the device. It must be handed over to the third party in case the device changed

proprietor or is being used by that third party.
