SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using an electrical appliance, always comply with the following basic safety instructions. Always keep your
instruction manual safe for further consultations.
• Read the instructions carefully.
• Before connecting the coffee maker to the mains, check that the voltage matches the voltage of the machine; use a
socket with an earth connection.
• Place the coffee maker on a flat surface, far from the edge of the working top to avoid it getting knocked over by
accident.
• The jug is designed for use with this coffee machine. Do not use it on cookers, hotplates or in the microwave oven.
Do not place the to jug on a wet or cold surface. Do not use: the jug if it is cracked or the handle is loose.
• Keep children away from the appliance.
• Do not touch the hot surface. Use the handles or buttons.
• For protection against possible electrical shocks, do not insert the cord plug or the unit in water or any other liquid.
• Switch off and disconnect the coffee maker from the mains when not in use and before cleaning. Allow it to cool
down before placing or removing pieces and before cleaning the appliance.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the table or working top or in contact with hot surfaces.
• Do not start the appliance if the cord or plug is damaged or if it does not work correctly.
• Do not pull on the cable to unplug.
• Repairs and cord replacements must be carried out exclusively by an Authorised Technical Service.
Coffee maker setting method
Manual setting:
Switch on the electricity and press ON/OFF button a first time to turn the appliance on. The Auto light will go on. Press
ON/OFF again to start making coffee. It takes 10-12 minutes to make the coffee, after which it will enter the automatic
heat preservation mode. Press ON/OFF a third time to turn off the appliance, then unplug the coffee maker.
Auto setting:
• Plug in and turn on the coffee maker. The display will show 0:00
• Start by setting the time: press the HOUR button to set up the hour and the MIN button to set up the minutes.
• To postpone the coffee making: press the PROG button, the display will show 12:00, press the HOUR button to
set up the number of hour, press the MIN button to set up the number of minutes.
• Once the setting is done properly, press the PROG button again to confirm, and the Auto light will flash for about
five seconds, the display will show the present time and the Auto light will go off. Press the ON/OFF button to turn
the Auto light back on, the coffee maker will then start the automatic countdown. The coffee maker will start
working at the set time and will need about 10-12 minutes to make coffee, after which it will enter the automatic
heat preservation mode.
• Turning the power off: press ON/OFF. The coffee maker will go off and the ON and Auto buttons will stop
flashing. You can then unplug the machine.
Remarks: Whether you are in manual setting or auto setting, Always turn off the machine as in step 5.
NOTE: To reduce the risk of fire or electrical shock, do not remove any of the covers. No inside parts may be handled by
the user. This appliance is designed exclusively for domestic use.
CLEAN THE COFFEE MAKER BEFORE USING IT FOR THE FIRST TIME.
OPERATION
Fill the reservoir with cold water. It is recommended not to use less than enough for two cups.
Place the filter in the filter holder. Put a spoon of coffee for each cup of water.
o Note:
o Use number 4 paper filters.
o For correct operation do not use coffee which has been too finely ground.
Place the jug with its lid on the hotplate, connect the coffee maker to the mains and press the switch. The pilot light
will indicate that the coffee maker is working.
ANTI-DRIP VALVE
o A cup may be served before all the coffee has been prepared. When the jug is removed from the hotplate
the drip system is suspended temporarily. The jug must be replaced on the hotplate within 20 seconds.
Once the preparation cycle has finished. Wait a minute until the drip has completely finished.
To keep the coffee hot, place the jug on the hotplate again.
