that time as a percentage, in
relation to the first basic val-
ue measurement (display in
5 % increments). If the cylin-
der content falls below 10 %,
the display will also flash, sig-
nalling that the reserve range
has been reached
Note: When the device is
switched off, the basic value
set in each case will be re-
tained. If you leave Measure-
ment Mode, however, a new
basic value must be set.

Sustained Operation/
Forecast Mode
(only with 12 V connection)
In sustained operation you
have the option of constantly
reading off the contents val-
ue, or, on the basis of the gas
cylinder symbol display,
keeping a constant watch on
the contents level (one wavy
line corresponds to about
10 % of the total content),
and of being provided with a
forecast as to how long the
gas reserve will last. If no
consumption occurs within
100 hours, the divice will
switch itself off.
To switch to sustained opera-
tion, press button „A“ and
keep it pressed for about
4 seconds, until the Hours
indication also appears in the
display:
To switch off, press button
„A“ again for about 4 se-
conds, until the Hours display
goes out. The device will now
switch back to normal opera-
ting mode, and the device
will then switch itself off after
a further 10 seconds.
Forecast Mode also offers the
option, with propane gas cy-
linders (with 5 kg or 11 kg fil-
ling weight), of determining
the gas content in kg (or %),
and providing a forecast of
how long this reserve will last.
The average consumption
measured over the past hours
(or days) will be calculated
with the residual content of
the gas cylinder. The residual
content will be displayed in
„kg“ (or %) and the remai-
ning consumption time in „h“
(hours). The first forecast can
be made as early as after ab-
out one hour.
Example:
This display means that the
gas cylinder still contains
7.6 kg of liquid gas, and that
this quantity, if drawn off at a
consistent rate (from the aver-
age consumption calculated
for the past few hours or days)
will still last for about 51 hours.
The accuracy of the
forecast depends on
the consumption behaviour.
Constant gas consumption
will allow for a more precise
forecast.
In addition to this, it is possi-
ble to determine the residual
content as a percentage for
almost any conventional
commercial gas cylinder filled
up to about 15 % of the full
filling weight (which fits on
the cylinder mount). A fore-
cast can also be made as to
how long its remaining gas
content will last.
