gas grill is a por table outdoor
cooking appliance. With the Weber
®
gas grill you
can grill, barbecue, roast and bake with results
that are difficult to duplicate with indoor kitchen
appliances. The closed lid produces that “outdoor”
flav or in the f ood.

grill with, if you mov e . Propane gas supply is easy
to use and gives y ou more cooking control than
charcoal fuel.

Improper assembly can be dangerous .
• Not for use b y children.
• If there are local codes that apply to portable
gas grills, you will ha v e to conform to them. If
there are no local codes, y ou must conf orm to
the latest edition of the National Fuel Gas Code:
ANSI Z 223.1/NFP A54.
• The pressure regulator supplied with the W eber
®
gas grill must be used. This regulator is set for
11 inches of water column (pressure).
• This Weber
®
gas grill is designed for use with
propane gas only . Do not use with natur al
(piped in city) gas. The v alv e and regulator is for
Propane gas only .
• Do not use with charcoal fuel.
• This Weber
®
gas grill is not intended for
commercial use.
• The use of alcohol, prescr iption or non-
prescription drugs may impair the consumers
ability to properly assemble or saf ely operate
the appliance.
• This Weber
®
gas grill is not intended for and
should nev er be used as a heater .
• Do not lea v e the W eber

gas grill unattended.

• Chec k that the area under the control panel and
the bottom tra y are free from debris that might
obstruct the flow of combustion or v entilation air .

while generally acceptable , do not necessarily
comply with the Canadian Installation codes,
par ticularly with piping abov e and below ground.
In Canada the installation of this appliance
must comply with local codes and/or Standard
CAN/CGA-B149.2 (Installation Code for Propane

Spider/Insect screens
Y our W eber
®
gas grill, as well as any outdoor
gas appliance, is a target f or spiders and other
insects. The y can nest in the v enturi section(1) of
the burner tube. This b locks the normal gas flow ,
and can cause the gas to flow bac k out of the air
shutter . This could result in a fire in and around the
air shutter , causing serious damage to your grill.

• When the W eber
®
gas grill is not in use, the
propane cylinder must be DISCONNECTED
and the propane cylinder stored outdoors in
a well-v entilated space. Place dust caps on
cylinder valv e outlets when cylinder is not in use.
• The Weber
®
gas grill should be check ed for
gas leaks and any obstructions in the burner
tubes before using. (See Sections: “General
Maintenance and Annual Maintenance. ”)
• The Spider/Insect Screen should also be
check ed f or any obstructions. (See Section:
“Annual Maintenance. ”)
Operating
ƽ W ARNING: Only use this grill outdoor s in a
well-ventilated area. Do not use in a garage,
building, breezewa y or any other enc losed
area.

be used under an unprotected comb ustible
roof or o verhang.
ƽ W ARNING: Y our Weber

gas grill is not
intended to be installed in or on recreational
vehicles and/or boats.
ƽ W ARNING: Do not use the grill within
24 inches of combustib le materials, top,
bottom, back or sides of the grill.
ƽ W ARNING: The entire cooking bo x gets hot
when in use. Do not lea ve unattended.
ƽ W ARNING: Keep an y electrical supply cor d
awa y from an y heated surface.
ƽ W ARNING: Keep the cooking area c lear
of flammable vapor s and liquids such as
gasoline, alcohol, etc., and combustib le
materials.

gas grill.
ƽ W ARNING: When cooking, the appliance
must be on a le vel, stable surface in an area
clear of comb ustible material. An asphalt
surface (blacktop) ma y not be acceptable f or
this purpose.
ƽ Use heat-resistant grill mitts or gloves
when operating the grill.
Cooking
T o light the grill: Ref er to the lighting instructions
in this owners manual.
T o preheat the grill: Light the W eber
®
according the lighting instructions in this owners
manual. Close the lid and tur n the Burner Control
Knob to Star t/Hi. Preheat the gr ill f or 5-10 minutes
(depending on conditions such as air temperature
and wind).
Note: Wind and weather ma y require adjustment
of the burner control knob to obtain the correct
cooking temperature.
If the burner goes out during cooking, open the lid,
turn off the burner, and w ait five min utes before
relighting.
Drippings and grease: Excess drippings and
grease will collect in the catch pan in the slide-out
bottom tra y (located on the underside of the grill).
Disposable W eber
®
drip pans are availab le that fit
the catch pan.
ƽ W ARNING: Chec k the catch pan and the
bottom of the grill for grease b uild-up before
each use. Remo ve excess grease to a v oid a
fire in the bottom of the grill.
ƽ W ARNING: Do not mo ve the Weber
®
gas grill
when operating or while the grill is hot.
Cleaning
ƽ W ARNING: T urn your W eber
®
gas grill OFF
and wait for it to cool bef ore cleaning.

Outside surfaces - Use a w arm soapy water
solution to clean, then rinse with water .
ƽ CA UTION: Do not use oven c leaner ,
abrasive cleanser s (kitchen cleanser s)
cleaner s that contain citrus products,
or abrasive cleaning pads on grill or
cart surfaces.
Slide out Bottom tra y - Remov e e xcess grease,
then wash with warm soap y water , then rinse
Cooking grate - Clean with a suitab le brass bristle
brush. As needed, remov e from grill
and wash with warm soap y water , then rinse
with water .
Catch pan - Disposable f oil tra ys are a vailab le,
or you can line the catch pan with aluminum f oil.
T o clean the catch pan, wash with warm soapy
water , then rinse.
Inside cooking Box - Brush any debris off of
burner tubes. DO NOT ENLARGE BURNER
PORTS (OPENINGS). W ash inside of cooking box
with warm soapy w ater and a water rinse.
Inside Lid - While lid is warm, wipe inside with
paper towel to pre v ent grease b uild-up . Flaking
built-up grease resemb les paint flak es.

inspect and clean the the Spider/Insect screen if any of the f ollowing
symptoms should ev er occur:
1) The smell of gas in conjunction with the burner flames appear ing
yello w and lazy .
2) Grill does not reach temperature .
3) Grill heats une v enly .
4) The b urner does not ignite.
