2.6 Installation of servo motor SM
The valve registers are fitted, as standard, with a control shaft, with a
valve indicator groove parallel to the valve plate. The servo motor sup-
plied by us has a spring return function and is supplied separately with a
installation set (see 2c).

Note:
Check the closing position of the valve when installing the servo motor.
When closed, the valve plate rests against a neoprene belt. The mounting
plate is attached to the plate around the control shaft using the two hexa-
gonal bolts. The servo motor is then installed on this mounting plate. The
servo motor has a separate strip with a pin, as standard, to keep the
servo motor from turning. The strip can be attached to the mounting plate
using the sheet-metal screws provided.
3. Starting up
Check whether any transport blocks have been removed. If not, remove
them. Check whether all fittings are secure before switching on the fan.
Make sure no installation materials have been left behind in the fan and
that the fan wheel rotates freely. The panels must be properly closed off.
Check the seals of all water and air side connections. Also check whether
the motor has been connected according to the above-mentioned con-
necting instructions. Switch on the fan and measure the current con-
sumption. This current must not exceed that given on the identification
plate. The battery can best be bled with a stationary pump, repeating this
regularly until all the air has been removed from the system.
4. Maintenance
4.1 Filter
Checking for soiling and possible replacement of the filter depends very
much on the nature of the air to be treated and the operating period. The
general rule is that the filter should be checked for soiling once every 2
to 3 months. An effective method is to check the underpressure (via the
dip switches) or to install a pressure difference meter. The filter must be
replaced at least annually.
Note:
Do not operate the Unitair without a filter, in order to avoid soiling of the
battery.
4.2 Fan
The motors have completely sealed, maintenance free ball bearings as
standard. However, the bearings must be checked for noise during the
annual maintenance. Inspect the fan and motor regularly.
4.3 Heat exchanger
The heat exchanger must be blown clean with air from the fan side at
least annually. The dirt blown out can be removed using a vacuum cle-
aner.
4.4 Valve register
Check the effective operation of valves and transmission at least annually.
Any malfunctions should first be reported to the installer, as he can
assess the source of the malfunction. A warranty for effective operation of
the Unitair can only be given if installation and maintenance has taken
place entirely according to these instructions. Maintenance can be carried
out by your installer or our service department.
Regular maintenance means:
• less risk of malfunctions
• saving on energy consumption
• prevention of unexpected costs
• onger life span
